How does your game represent "Slick"?
The game represents "Slick" through low-friction pogo physics and shotgun recoil that maintain momentum. By replacing reload buttons with 360 mid-air flips, tricks become a core mechanic for preserving velocity.
A.K.A. the gameplay is SLICK :)

This was a ton of fun. Strangely it’s not the first game I’ve played where I had to do a flip to reload a shotgun, and it works really well here!

The level design and production quality are great, especially for a jam game. I could definitely see this expanded to a full game. Great work!

Developer

i have a very old mobile game with this mechanic. anyway, yeah, i've dwelving on this idea for a long time and it's time to make it come true. i'm working on the slowmo controller now :)

Could really see this be a fun full fledged rage game like Getting Over it. The level design was great as well. Nice job! :)

Once you start flippin' you can never go back! Pretty fun platformer overall pretty slick. I would've liked to be able to do a 180 on how the gun gets pointed, my brain kept doing it backwards!

Thank you! :)

Now, that's a fun game.  Very whacky, but the game is crying out for enemies.

Developer(+1)

glad you enjoyed it, and yes, enemies, slow mo, power ups, physics :)

High skill ceiling game, in a good way! I had fun playing it, would love if there was more to interact with, it'd be cool if I had to split up shooting between platforming and something else (like enemies). Good job!

lol this is so fun. Movement is so simple but feels like there's a really high potential for mastery.

Developer

thank you :)

I didn't understand the shooting mechanic and still beat it lmao

Developer(+1)

do a 360 and land to reload the shotgun. when shooting it gets you some extra boost. there were enemies to be added, but... game jam lol. tnx for the feedback :)

Submitted(+1)

yeah I figured it out after beating it and went back to try lol

FINALLY a game using tricks to represent Slick theme. And it is perfectly backed up by the SLICK gameplay as well! Nicely done :D

Do make sure to play and rate our game as well (it might take a minute for it to load)

Thank you. i wish i couldve had time to put in the enemies and other upgrades

It's never too late to make a game better ☺️

it's definetly something i will do. the theme was inspiring

I was desperately to scrape my way up the first cliffside, pogo-ing up before luckily accidentally pulling a sick 360 and changing the whole game. This is an awesome take on a Bennet Foddy-like where you are pretty much perpetually in motion and can't always calculate your moves. The thought of the bunny restoring his ability to jump with gun violence fills me inspiration. The guitar hits hard, too. Great game!
