Loved the game!
Thanks!
When crokstain is gone i tought i am going to cry. Very good story telling. Environment is cool. Love the particles going on screen. And talking animations, loved it. Good work.
Thank you so much!! I'm really glad that my game connected with you 🙃
This was heavy but you are a great story teller, the art fits the theme, the characters are incredibly unique, even though this is entirely text based I could clearly hear different voices for all of them, incredible writing skill, the music was fitting and somehow you made a scene set inside a single room fill far more than the wall boundaries, it's been a pleasure playing!
Thank you so much!! That means a lot ☺️ I actually was considering adding undertale-style character sounds when they speak, but I ran out of time 🙃
good game
Thanks!
Wow this was Heavy.
Good game.
Thank you! 🙃
I loved the game, the great art, story, sound design, I cant wait to play more games by you.
Wow!! Thanks! 😄
So sick! Knew I was in for a treat the second I made a stank face hearing that main theme haha. Great art, sound design, and storytelling! Can't wait to see more from you 😁
Thank you for the kind words !!! 😄😄😄
"You're already starting to live like they won't. That's important."
This game is really so beautiful. The visual design is spectacular. I greatly enjoyed the storytelling. It reminds me of my favorite play Eurydice, by Sarah Ruhl. I'd highly recommend it. It also reminded me of this game someone made for a previous jam I did. Great work. Please keep writing and devving, I'd love to play more!
My only minor feedback is that I think the pacing lags a little bit, and I think most interactions with Croakston and Greowl could contain more dialogue choices that break up the lines that are currently there into different dialogue branches.
oh wow!! 😵💫 Thanks for the feedback and the kind words!! This is my first time making a game with dialogue, so I still have a lot to learn 🫡I'll have to write down your recommendations, they sound good😄 Thanks again!!
Croakstan is the GOAT! LOVED the game :)
THANKS!!! 😁😁
I really enjoyed this game! The contrasting dialogue between Croakstan and Greowl were interesting, and I loved the storytelling. I liked how the tone of the game gradually became darker and more eerie.
Thank you for playing!!! 😄
Wow, amazing well polished game! I really love the story and also it is kinda relatable at some point hah, also i like this cute art! catowl meme reference 🔥 (ithink)
thank you! !☺️ you're the first one to point out the meowl (catowl) 😄🐈
I loooove this kind of game. It did get a little twisty with it’s dialogue. May have gone a little too far with the abstract wordings for my personal taste, but it was enough to leave a negative impression.
I don’t know if you know this older indie game, but this very much reminds me of like a more childhood version of the game Presentable Liberty. I absolutely adored this game back in the day, and this gives me a very similar eerie vibe that I love.
I gave this a near perfect score. I only took off stars for theme. I don’t know quite how this fits it besides fairly loosely.
I also really love Presentable liberty and it was a huge inspiration!☺️☺️! Thanks for playing!! Yeah, I agree with all of your points.. I had the story outline almost on day 1, but I had to write all the actual dialogue at the last day of the jam, so I rushed a little bit. For the theme, I was more so going for the imaginary characters feeling out of place? 🤔 Well, I made an abstract game, so the interpretation is also pretty vague. ☺️☺️
That’s completely fair! While I playing I was surprised by the amount of dialogue. So, I could definitely see it getting hard to keep it all 100% coherent when there’s so much and it’s so abstract. Whether or not you following the theme, you made an awesome game
Cool story! Unique narrativ entry for the jam I guess :)
Enjoyed it.
Thanks!! 😄
Bottle episode!
I adore the aesthetics of this game so much. The way Croakstan contrasts the style yet fits in somehow is great. You hit a fantastic balance between cute and eerie that really piqued my curiosity. Great job building this atmosphere.
Bottle episode indeed!! 😄 Thank you for playing!! ☺️
Croakstan is such a cute little individual :) Love the music
Thank you!! 😄😄 Yess, I really enjoyed writing Croakstan🙃
oh my godddddddd this struck such a cord with me... I'm a sucker for mixed media so those 2d sprites and little drawing intermissions really sold the game to me. The character designs are simple but capture the child-like creativity so well. You did a great job with gradually shifting from the hopeful whimsy vibes into that somber atmosphere, especially through music. Good job!
Thank you so much!!!! I'm really glad you liked it!!! This means a world to me ☺️
the concept is intresting , liked it <3
Thank you! < 3
I usually don’t like this kind of narrative, but… I think this game is very nice! =)
Thank you for giving it a chance 🙃
