"Oh my god....THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!! AAAHHH!!"

Do not listen to any of the cowards, you absolutely need to keep that audio in there. Just add a "Bee Slide" volume slider for those who can't appreciate art. Unironically my favorite bit of voice acting in the whole jam so far. The rest of the sound design also kicked ass, music, SFX, all great.

I played this game for WAY too long. One of my favorite entries without a doubt. Perfectly scoped and tuned for a game jam. My only suggestions for a post-jam release (please, I need more of this game):

  1. Tweak the difficulty. I think it was much safer to keep this easy for a game jam, so that was the correct call for this version. But for a full release, I do think it should be more difficult. For example, the metal bones nullifying twisty slides is probably a little over-tuned. Also, I didn't end up killing any test subjects, but that's probably because I'm a gamer 😎
  2. Having a 2-3X speed button you can hold will make it easier to go for super long runs. The only reason I ended up stopping was because it took about 90 seconds for my slide to go through the whole animation by the end (also my score bled into the other UI 😆) I love the animations, so watching them in 3X speed would be much better than skipping them entirely.
  3. Adding more piece types and interactions between pieces would be awesome, I'm sure you already have a ton in mind.

Incredibly well done, you should be really proud of what you made here! I can't in good conscience give this anything other than a perfect score considering how long I played it. Great job! :D

I was curious what the death/game over looks like, so I did a speedrun to kill all test subjects. It was worth it to see the crutches. :)

In case you weren't aware, I think there's a bug with how subjects are counted before buying any upgrades, since it showed all 4 with red X's in the top left when only one had died. Not a huge deal, it would only come up if someone tries to speedrun dying like I did

Anyway, here's what peak kill efficiency looks like:
