Super charming! I like the branching path idea and the style was super cute! I liked the art for the title end and pause screens a bunch, and the color pallet overall was super nice. I got lost in the town easily so I super appreciated the big spotlights for the items too! Idk why everyone and their mom was at the holy door but it scared the fuck out of me LOL, lovely game

theme: very good idea, I really liked it.

Polish: The game was smooth. I like the camera effect when you look at people, though I wish the background sound effects stayed for longer.

Art: I love the 2d art, and the ps1 style 3d models we have as well, very good.

Concept: It's a very good concept, it's simple yet fun I like it.

enjoyment: the game needed a lot of walking and its wasnt very clear on what you need to do, but the gameplay was fun once you understand and try to avoid looking at people while searching.

Thank you so much for your feedback, it's very important to us. We are so happy that you could have some fun <3

There are many things we had planned (some even ready) in the map, interactions, events, and player guidance to avoid that feeling of walking for too long without much happening, something we had to cut because time was running out too fast haha.

Therefore, we focused on making the game playable and with the two endings we envisioned.

Once again, thank you for your valuable feedback, it means a lot to us and we will probably return to work on the game more calmly considering everything you said :)

I got silent hill vibes from this so I very much loved it, also I spent like 7 minutes trying to find the cross only to realize I was not only walking in circles but also blind as I saw the giant light guiding me to the items lol. Still, I had a great time walking around, got jumpscared by an npc 10/10

It seems you had the experience we wanted, so we're very happy with your feeling of being lost and the jumpscare, haha. So, thank you so much for playing and for the feedback <3

What a great game, I love that oldschool PS1 vibe. The telescope effect was really cool too.

And having alternate endings and providing the player with choice is always a great idea.

And that is awesome that you got to work on this with your brother too, congrats on making a game together! (btw, 3D stuff is art too)

The main piece of feedback I'd have is the cursor needs to be locked for FPS games.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback, we're very happy that you enjoyed it and it means a lot to receive constructive criticism like this, especially considering it's our first game!

Thank you ;)

I figured out if you press esc again with unlocked cursor and then click play it relocks the cursor

GERHA I got the cross, I found the chapel, but I started spamming buttons to try to open the door and I closed the tab.

I really like the idea of trying NOT to be the enemy as a theme for this!

The visuals were really neat too.

Thank you for making this fun game! :)

Developer

Haha, thank you so much for your feedback! We're trully happy you liked our idea and enjoy the game! We had so much stuff to add, but time flies, you know...

Obs: About the cross, you don't use it in the chapel, but somewhere else (and that's all I can say, hehe). If you want to try again and get the "true ending," feel free! ;)

Is the map changing as I walk through it?

Developer (2 edits)

Nop. It's a completely hand made map. All the locations are the same every time you play! The intention was to build a city that resembled a labyrinth, and the challenge is not to kill anyone while you're searching for points of interest!
