The song is groovy, and as you slide from circle to circle, when you get in the flow, it starts to feel slick for sure. As others have mentioned, having any kind of effect or indication for when you're getting into the light correctly versus incorrectly would make a big difference, both for understanding what is going on and for making a good run more satisfying. I still found this to be a fun little play, nice work!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing, I’m really glad you enjoyed it! You’re right about adding clearer feedback when entering the light. I really appreciate the helpful feedback.

As an avid rhythm game fan, this is right up my ally! controls were smooth, gameplay satisfying, and music groovy. This is a great game jam game, a perfect balance of easy to pick up but still plenty of room to improve when you replay! Tons of fun and can't wait to see what else you do!!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! I’m really glad you enjoyed it! Hearing you describe it as “a great game jam game” was especially nice. I really appreciate the kind words!

My dumb ass did not read the description and I tried to avoid the lights at first T.T got -76 in the first run lol. (still not 100% sure what to do with the double circles, avoid the dark one and go towards the lighter one?)
But once I figured it out it was extremely fun! The controls are very slick, having the the ghost go to the opposite side of your mouse feels like your dancing with it, and the smooth movement and little jumps make the controls feel satisfying.
The music is also very groovy, overall enjoyed it a lot, very good game!

Also, just got a perfect score :D

Thanks so much for playing. I’m really glad you ended up enjoying it, and congratulations on the perfect score.

Wanting to avoid the light because it’s a ghost actually makes a lot of sense. And yes, that’s right — avoid the dark one and move toward the lighter one.
I’m especially happy it felt like you were dancing together. That was the core idea behind the controls.

Fun game, I do wish there was an indication of damage or an active points bar just so I knew if I was doing well or not, regardless, very fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing!
That’s a great point. A bar indicator would definitely make it clearer how they’re doing.

This was super satisfying to play once I figured it out, I’ll admit my first run i scored -47 (which is maybe not too bad) but on my second try got 67. If there was some small indicator when you hit vs missed i think that would certainly amp up the satisfaction factor and really make this a blast to play!

Developer

Thanks! I’m really glad it clicked on the second run.
I agree about the hit/miss indicator, the jump and slip might have been a bit too subtle on their own.
I’ve also updated the description to clarify that you need to be in the light when it actually hits, not during the preview.

Respect for a fellow rhythm game entry! I like the music a lot and your approach to dancing it unique

Developer

Thanks! Respect to a fellow rhythm game dev as well.

I’m really glad you liked the music and the approach.

Really fun, I like the music and how the environment jumps to the beat, I played for too long and now the world looks like it is spinning lol

Developer

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for playing for so long!
The floor keeps rotating, so that might be why everything felt like it was spinning.

The music is catchy and fun, and the colors and affects make the game feel really satisfying. I think it could've used some kind of ui during gameplay that showed your current score. Other than that great job!

Developer

Thanks! I’m really glad you enjoyed the music and visuals.

You’re right, having the score visible during gameplay would make it better.

Really weird and unique.
I can see how a more polished version of this game could feel quite slick.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I’d love to polish it further if I get the chance.
