How does your game represent "Slick"?
“Slick” means staying smooth under pressure, thus the player will need to slip past cameras, move fast, and pull off a clean pizza heist before time runs out.

nice little game, loved the music and goofy vibe of the stock photos. like some others have mentioned it has a neat start menu.

also like some others, I had some issue with the controls but I was able to get the sweet sweet Za in the end.

also, is this Sly 5?

good work!

This had a cool title screen and some really solid stock photos going for it. The controls take a little bit to get used to, but I played as a raccoon and I got a pizza so it's really a very good video game.

I'm glad you enjoyed the title screen! And thank you so much for playing

The pepperoni buttons on the title screen were really cute. Good job :)

Thanks! With the limited time constraints, I had a lot of fun seeing what could be done with Creative Common assets instead of hand drawing everything.

love the mix in styles for this game! the realistic assets are very funny

Developer

Thank you appreciate that!

The SFX and art is really good, but it would be nice to have the player move diagonally and a reset/main menu button

Developer

Thank you! Really glad the SFX and art landed.

You’re absolutely right — diagonal movement and a reset/menu option would improve the feel a lot. Those were scope cuts due to jam time constraints, but they’d definitely be part of a more polished version.

Appreciate you playing and pointing that out!

I like the idea, but unfortunately the movement controls seemed a bit bugged for me, I kept getting stuck in corners and then losing. I would have loved to play more, I really like the racoon art

Developer

Thanks for the honest feedback and I’m glad you liked the raccoon!

The corner-sticking is definitely a movement/collision issue that needs refinement. That’s one of the trade-offs from building it quickly for the jam. In a full iteration, movement and collision would be tightened up a lot to feel smoother and more intentional.

Really appreciate you giving it a shot despite that!

I love the idea and the execution is pretty solid too! something that could be cool to help players read the scene better is putting an icon above the camera currently detecting you

Developer

Appreciate it! Yeah, improving readability is something I’m still tuning, and an icon above the currently detecting camera could be a really clean solution (appreciate it). I’ll try mocking that up.

I liked the theme of the game.

But the game was confusing at some points. I think you could expand it further and maybe also add an in-game tutorial?

It wasn't really clear what door I needed to open once I got the key.

Developer(+1)

Totally fair Asfalt, that’s on me for not making it clear enough. The goal is to grab the key, then use E to open the truck doors (they won’t open without the key), get the Golden Pizza, and open the door where it’s located. You also need to stay off the cop car, or it’ll start the timer (with or without the key). On top of that, the cameras detect you, so you need to stay out of their view. Appreciate you checking it out 🙌
