How does your game represent "Slick"?
The movement in the game is decidedly slick, and based on momentum and speed. Additionally, you have a "slickometer" which powers your speed, time manipulation, and allows for satisfying moments!

I DID IT S RANKS ALL AROUND PROTOPISS TIME 💦💦💦💦💦💦
Holy hell this is slick! I was going upwards of 200 m/s on that last level, and I couldn't stop laughing the whole time. Such fun mechanics, a perfect speedrun kind of game. My only suggestions would be to make the Restart Level button a different key. About 10 times in a row, I instinctually clicked R after defeating the first enemies to try reloading my weapon 😭I know this is a "me" problem, so it won't factor into the score.
Great job here! Slick sounds, controls, visuals, and slick where it really matters: the soul :)
Thank you so much! I've been victim to the restart reload a few times myself lol. I'm glad you had a good time :)
Man, this game looks so polished and the movement feels soooo slick
The only thing I would add is an indicator so I know where to go, but damn, this game has got everything!
And I like the mechanic of shooting enemies to gain speed
Bravo! You did an amazing job!
Y’all did an excellent job on this! You’ve got something really fun.
This game has a pretty strong identity and vibe. I love how speedy you can get in some of these levels. I will admit that I didn’t really use the slow motion much, I found that the slickometer charges slowly and that slomo drains it really fast, only ever giving me maybe 2 seconds of slow motion before going back to normal speed which was more jarring than useful imo. Regardless, very polished and engaging entry.
Great level of polish. The fast motion is very satisfying. Nice use of slow motion. Good visuals, music, and sound effects. I think the game would have benefited from more feedback and clarity when it comes to the mechanics, but that's obviously a level of polish beyond a game jam.
Awesome! Well done for making this in the time given, found the movement very satisfying. I found myself stuck/softlocked many times, which does hurt a game that is about high movement otherwise! Overall, I enjoyed the gameplay a lot and you should definitely be happy with this badass lil game.
Whoa, now this game is SLICK. Huge fan of the steam punk vibes, models, soundtrack, the amount of content for a jam, shooting enemies for speed boosts, holding a fuel gauge AND a gun, all the movement mechanics. Very fun to play.
NOTE TO SELF: As a frequent FPS gamer, "R" does not reload!
Now if you would excuse me, I gotta go get a better time on Proto Punk!
A game where you run at breakneck speed is always fun. 🏃♂️💨
I do think the game needs some more challenge, maybe the enemies attack you and/or move around a little bit, or a game over if you get too slow. Overall though, it was a solid jam game and you guys did an impressive job. 👍
Thanks for the feedback! Originally, we thought of a kill-zone that would follow the player or the level path and reset the player when hit. We're also looking into environmental hazards and more interesting enemies. Glad you had fun zooming !
amongst the better fps games ive tested so far
breakcore music?! Absolutely fire we love that AND slick af movement as well great job !
glad you liked it!
Super well executed, really enjoyed schmoving through the level! I did notice the problem with not knowing whether the bullet has hit the enemy. In another bullet time fps jam entry I’ve seen that they flashbanged you in the face with a particle whenever the game calculated a direct hit. I recommend checking it out, game’s called Sea Salt City.
Thanks for the feedback! Right now we just have an auditory cue for hit confirm but no visual cue yet. I’ll check that game out for some inspiration, thank you!
I wish the game was a bit faster, felt slow sometimes ;)
Thanks for letting us know! There are ways to go faster but they're not super well-communicated currently so we'll be working on that.
