this was a trip, really cool stuff!!! loved how the whole village of gingerbread people had their own dialogues and personalities really nice touch. the one npc gingerkid who wanted you to spin him was a really clever way to introduce the mechanic of right click to react within the game world, the sfx and animation were really charming too. I had fun gliding around the map with the moon upgrade, but I think the player controller could be a little smoother overall (it was fine for the jam, but if you chose to keep developing the game I would recommend fine tuning it a bit). I really liked the feel of exploring the map, the layout is really nice and the focal point of the big mountain you will eventually have to climb was cool level design. I'm not sure if I beat the game or it bugged or something but I got to the floating donut thing and then kinda just couldn't move, it looked cool tho. I liked the overall look of the game but I think the snow fall effect looked too much like rain and was too visually busy, I think a less is more approach with slightly bigger particles would have worked better. That being said I really enjoyed my time with your game and I think you have a real knack for level design and world building. Great take on the them, keep it up!!
Thank you for all the detailed feedback, I appreciate it!
Also so the ring is where the world flip around and you play on the ceiling, you can see it in the video I recorded (see 3:46) :)
very cool, thanks for sharing!!
The theme is conveyed really well, and I genuinely like the idea of the reversed world. I would keep playing if there was more lore.
I think the map is a bit too big, and there are a lot of spots (especially in the upside down world) where you can fall in and then have a hard time getting out.
The sounds are great, and the music is nice too, but I feel like the powerful wind should be more upfront, with the music pushed more into the background (maybe sounding more distant). Also, the snow should fall more slowly in the upside down world - I had a really hard time seeing anything.
It would also look great to have an opening cutscene showing the gingerbread men talking to each other, to indicate that they’re NPCs. Overall, great game - you did a really good job!
Thank you!!
I really appreciate the feedback, and I think I agree.
Good idea. At first I didn't read the description and didn't check out all the NPCs so I was just walking around and trying to cheese up the mountain with no sphere... Then I found the moon sphere and went up there without the sun sphere... The platforming seems impossible at times where I couldn't fully make it from one platform to the next and landed a bit below the edge but could "cheese" up onto the platform. Holding space for longer enabled higher jumps which didn't seem to be mentioned anywhere. Instructions could maybe be clearer but that's partially on me. The idea to hint to the spheres with the lights is good, maybe needs to be clearer for people like me 😅
I'm assuming the terrain is so rough is because it uses an 8bit heightmap and not a 16bit one, that could be improved.
Maybe the whole world should be smaller and the platforming to the mountain top be shorter. It takes too much time. When I restarted after reading the description to check all the NPCs and got the sun sphere I didn't want to climb the whole mountain again. I guess we are supposed to throw the light balls into those pyramids guarded by the shooting snowmen.
I appreciate the feedback :)
Yeah, holding space longer does make you jump higher. You can also jump with the moon sphere active and hold space for even longer to jump even higher. I could add a mention to that in the description.
I've added a developer playthrough video the game page, if you want to see the rest of the game :)
Well done on this! Looks great with great assets and loved the snow effect. The music is definitely one of the highlights for me, great to hear an original track! I played this 2 times - once without the map and once after seeing the map, so I got lost for the first time, but then i could collect both the spheres and the gravity ring. I got stuck after that a bit though, couldnt find the towers. But anyway it was a fun experience. I liked the little interactions with the villagers, felt like there was thought put behind the world building. Movement felt good and shooting of the sun and moonbeam activation was also nicely done.
Thank you!! :)
I thought about making a compass, but I ran out of time.
And I'm glad you love the music, it's on Spotify now
a very awesome game especially with the art and sounds good luck!
Thank you :)
Thanks :)
I added a map to the game page
The snowy conditions looks very fantastic, well done with the models. The music is really well done. I did find a sun orb.
My problem is that I kept getting lost in the level; although, there is a big emphasis with the narrative in this game, I was able to interact with different characters.
Thanks for the feedback, noted :)
I did upload a map to the game page if that's helpful
The ice and freezing rain effect was really intense, loved it. Were able to find only the first orb and had fun with it, but when I reached the top of the mountain everything become too buggy to procede, Still, really solid foundation. As a tip, i know you used only lamplight as pathwalk but some other way to point to the right direction may be useful (like for me, who couldn't fine the other orb).
Thanks for the feedback, noted :)

I noticed it after reading the other comment,.. By the way, some of the gingerbread are really hilarious.
Thank you! 😁
Interesting, intriguing. Nice graphics. I managed to find the Sun and use it. Really liked the play of light and shadows. Didn’t find the Moon though and couldn’t finish the game in about 15 minutes I had to spend on it, but really wanted to. Conversations with the villagers didn’t help. I’m not an avid player though, so my experience is probably not typical.
No worries, and thanks for the feedback! If you ever want and have time to come back to it, the moon sphere is on a little plateau on the opposite corner of the map from the sun sphere (not on the mountain, on the rugged terrain just across the river from the village), if you walk straight in the direction of the villager that points towards it, you should find a windy updraft area that blows you up onto the plateau, you can see the glow faintly from the village I think.
I added a map with a spoiler warning on the game page :)
