Very interesting survival-style game where you last as long as you can. The strange rooms are definitely an interesting setting to build around.

Very unique and creative idea! I like the progression and the idea that rent continually increases forces you to generate rooms which would earn you coins at the cost of having more enemies to battle. I felt the game started a bit too easy and repetitive, but as it kept going it felt a bit better, so maybe a slightly more steep difficulty curve for the first few minutes would be a good change. I also enjoyed the graphics quite a bit, and the sound effects also feel pretty good. Overall a great entry, great job!

Love the idea , this is endless and fun ! Would love a complete game with more variety !

Really cool idea to be able to build your own dungeon. Took me a bit to get a run going, but once I got into it the difficulty scaled perfectly. Great job!

I love the idea and the execution is very well done. My only real complaint is that the game is more zoomed out than its meant to be when in fullscreen. The black screen transition doesn't take up the whole screen. But other than that technical issue, its really great! Nice job!

Very solid game, thematic, good game play, loved every aspect of it

Really nice game well done! I think the background should be a lttile bit darker

This was awesome! Had a lot of fun playing it! A way to heal would have been nice (or did I miss it?), I feel you lose more often because of getting killed than by not beeing able to pay your rent.

Developer

Yes there are ways to heal (from standing near a fireplace in a cabin room or find a fridge in an apartment room). But I do think we had the oversight of not adding an easily accessible heal from the start.

Submitted

Oh really? Didn't notice that I got healed near the fireplaces. Only had one evil animal come out of the cabin :)

The idea is interesting, but I can’t play much in the browser version due to its size. Some zoom / full screen mode would really help.

I added a full screen button for the game page. It would make the title UI look broken but the game should be fully accessible now. Thanks for letting me know.

I like building my own little dungeon set up! It would be cool if there was some upgrade system since once you get a good weapon from the shop, you cant really improve it

This was a fun little concept! I liked the core loop of building out the dungeon as you go through it. It seems a bit easy at first, but maybe the rent scales faster the farther you go. The sprites do a good job conveying the theme, but the initial punching attach I felt was very difficult to target - hard to know where that hit box would end up if the enemy got too close or too far away. Once I bought a weapon at the shop, things felt much better

This is great! The art style works really well and I'm a big fan of the dungeon building mechanic. Nice job!

Cool game. Reminds me of Isaac, though I have only  seen gameplay of it

Submitted

Did not expect that! Pretty cool dungeon builder, love the mechanic!!! Died to rent :(

Submitted

Interesting idea. I think this concept could be developed very well. Good work.

Really interesting concept and nicely executed solid gameplay. Well done!

I like the "expanding your dungeon" concept a lot, it's quite fun, and I think have lots of potential. But I can imagine that people can easily cheese the system. The gameplay is decently smooth and fun, and I think this could work quite well as a full release with more content and balancing. A boss battle would be nice :)

Other things I like:

  • Weapon to choose from
  • Rooms are not just reskins but have their unique quirk
  • Cosy music
  • Cute artstyle

Suggestions:

  • More variations on rooms and weapons, but I guess for a jam and prototype this is already good
  • Using icons for the information instead of text? Would make the game feel more polished

Anyway, the game is super well done and polished, and I think you all did a very good job making the game! Well done!

Great gameplay! Enemies felt a bit op at first, but maybe I'm just bad. Loved the chill vibe, art, and music. Awesome work! :)

Submitted

Really engaging gameplay loop! It's fun trying to find enough enemy encounters to keep up income while managing your health.
