This looks really nice! I love the graphics and art design a lot, especially during the first part of the game. It looks really polished and well-made. The ledge grab too wow that's a nice thing to have in a platformer. Sadly, the game ends so abruptly during the dream sequence, and it felt a bit rushed too later in the game, not going to lie. Probably time running out due to how game jams work, I guess. Anyway, I think you did a nice job making this. Keep up the good work!

Other things I like:

  • The sound and music feel super good
  • Character animation looks really great

Suggestions:

  • Movement speed could be sped up a bit. It felt too sluggish right now to play
  • In-game tutorial would be nice too. Didn't notice that the green net thing could be climbed at first, and took me half a minute to figure out what needed to be done

Pixel art just the way I like it :) I had trouble getting past some of the platforms, though. Otherwise, it was cool :)

I really enjoyed the visuals of the game alot! The only thing I really wanted from this game was more. I would have liked to have spent longer in the dream, it would be intresting to do a bit more platforming in the dream world, and I really loved the way the spider looked and was animated, they looked amazing!

Developer

Thanks! All the "cool stuff" took so long to figure out I sadly ran out of time to make the actual game ;)

This was very enjoyable. I really like the climbing mechanic and the ability to hold onto ledges, it’s very cool to see that in a 2D platformer. The “boss” at the end looks very cool, but his animations are even better - they give off such a chill vibe, so great job on that. The only thing I would say is that maybe the movement and climbing could be a little faster. I would love to see more of this, as it is now, it felt a bit short. Good job, very cool game! :)

All I really had time to do for the game was the visual part. Spent (wasted) a lot of time on "unnecessary" details like the lighting (if you look closely at the ground and the background there is a lighting effect). So I just wanted this to be a chill experience where you take in the atmosphere, hence the slow movement. Glad you liked it!

I like the background art with the music and sound effects! I think it creates a really cool atmosphere.

Developer

Thank you! I like to think that's the part I'm best at so I'm glad you thought so too! :)

the spider's movement is SOO well done, plus the background reminds me a little bit of Rain World, same the soundtrack!! cool game :D

Developer(+1)

I wanted to make a 1:1 recreation of Rain World, but turns out a week isn't quite long enough for that :(. The spider was supposed to be one of many enemies that actually, you know, you have to fight or get past. I ran out of time HARD though, so I just kind of shoehorned the spider in at the end. :D Thanks!

the art is beautifull and i liked the movement animations a lot

Thank you!

Good job! I really liked the music - it created a nice atmosphere together with the background art. I wish the character moved a bit faster. The spikes looked more like a danger zone, but were just foreground objects. That said, for a tech demo you should still be proud. Kudos!

Developer(+1)

The slow movement speed is so the game doesn't take 10 seconds to get through, and you have time to actually look at the visuals and hear the sound ;). Thanks!

That spider was super cool, the art in general was very well done.

Developer

The spider took me like half of the jam time to program, so I'm glad you liked it! Thank you very much for playing!

Oh yeah the atmosphere is awesome, I got sucked into the game after that synth started playing so cool

Developer

Thanks! The music was heavily inspired by the Obani Gemini music from Ratchet and Clank 3. I bet you would like that song too (it's much better than mine as well, probably wasn't made in 10 minutes :D)

Atmosphere is cool.

Developer

Thanks! I love atmospheric games so that's what I strive for in my own games too.

The visuals and audio were really nice. I also liked the spider typa creature's movement style at the end. Kinda reminded me of Limbo. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you!
