How does the game fit the theme?
Abandoned Buildings are strange and full of mysteries, what was there before? what happened there? what items could you find there? etc etc.. but they become even more strange when you're blind, with psychic prowesses.
Sight Unseen is a game about a blind girl exploring an abandoned building, she can't see the real world, but she has psychic prowess allowing her to see the edgy and sketchy world that the normal human-being's not able to see.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Everything was made from scratch apart from audio that was taken from audio libraries.
It was our first ever game jam for each of us and we had a lot of fun!

Using the third eye to reveal hidden hazards and items is a pretty cool mechanic in a 2D platformer. The art looks nice as well. Good use of squash animation on the character too. Nice work, and congrats on your first game jam!
If you get a chance, feel free to check out and rate my game as well!
Thank you !
Oh wow I loved this game!!! The third eye mechanic is really cool and it looks very cute and polished, very enyoiable!
Thank you !
Cool game! Great execution of this innovative mechanic.
If you would like to increase replayability, you could add a speedrun timer and maybe a grade based on the player's speed.
I would like to see a continuation of this game after the jam (:
Thank you for the feedback !
The core mechanic of revealing hidden parts of the level works really well and makes exploration interesting. The atmosphere is strong, especially thanks to the art and sound design, and the game feels polished overall. Nice job for a jam game.
Thank you !
The title screen grabbed me right away, and the whole psychic-unveiling mechanic is such a sick idea, using it to reveal hazards, key items, and seeing all the little hints felt really satisfying. The audio design is a big highlight too: the SFX are super nice (unlocking floors /finding key items is especially satisfying), and the music has that chill-but-mysterious vibe that fits the abandoned building perfectly. The visuals are top-notch as well.
Also, the little details you hide behind the unveil are great. The pictures on the walls turning into eyeballs were really unsettling lol. Really cool concept, presentation, and especially a really good first game jam entry.
Thank you so much !
We're glad you enjoyed it :D
Congrats on your first jam! This was a really unique platformer. The use of the blind mechanic with hidden dangers and clues was super cool.
Thank you !
I really Enjoyed it, Good Job
Thank you !
The game feels really smooth, both in terms of gameplay, visuals and sound!
Thank you !
wow, cool game with a very nice mechanic, congrats!
Thank you !
Cool game! The blindness mechanic is cool and it was fun learning what was hidden on the screen.
Thank you !
very well done! you guys got some talent
Thank you !
Im new to game jamming(is that the correct term) and i noticed you got tons of ratings. how do you do it?
Part of it is games we rated and the devs rated ours back and vice versa, some just found our game in the jam's page and got in to play and rate.
In the end of the day what matters is the quality of your game and visuals. Is your thumbnail inviting and stands out next to all the other games on the page? do you have screenshots that might spark curiosity in people? are you doing any publicity to bring people from the community to play your game? if your game's is super good and enjoyable some people might spread word to others and it'll bring more people to play and rate your game. You know?
All these things matter rating wise. Your game got 14 ratings so far (atm), it's not bad at all! use the experience you've gained from this jam and use it for your next ones.
Good luck !
thx he tips
This is a very neat game. I love using the mouse to figure out where I can safely go. Great job to the team!
Thank you !
The art is amazing! It's looks very nice and makes a pretty nice ambiance. The gameplay mechanic is also very cool and surprised me since I though it would be just a platform game.
Very cool game, congrats!
thank you!
Gorgeous art and atmosphere! I think the main mechanic is very interesting and has great potential for a longer game! You could add more secret messages for narrative purposes (similar to how Hollow Knight scatters pieces of lore around the map), but I think using it as part of the puzzles (as you did with the pipe) is just genius! Congrats to the whole team!!
I hope you develop this further, I'd love to play an extended version! :D
Thank you for the feedback and kind words ^^
Very nice game! The main gimmick is really cool and well used. The art looks very good too. Good job :D
Thank you !
The visuals are very clean! I had some trouble jumping over the hidden obstacles as it felt like the jump barely made it over but I was able to time it right. I'm curious to see where this could go with more time!
Thank you !
Nice elevator work! The reveal method was good as well, if there was more time it would be cool to see what a concept like this does with more time. I like the art, use of glow in the reveal, very nice!
Thank you !
Nice platformer, controls are smooth.
At first, when I was playing I haven't fully discovered mechanic with moving mouse to see other side of the room, to locate switches and traps, so just by jumping on different platforms I've turned on the lift and went ahead, it repeated up until I've reached 3rd floor when I lost immediately. Once I've discovered it was very helpful ahead. Though I wonder if you should make objects interactable if they were discovered, but not sure if there was an intent to allow for passing without discovering.
Really good job for a first jame!
No intent of letting the player pass without discovering, that's the core mechanic of the game, they exist and you need to be aware of them
Thank you for your feedback ! :D
Many things are really well done in this game. I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot, and I really like how you expanded the “strange” theme into the player’s sense of curiosity by making them look into the area for clues that was an amazing idea. I just wish I could play it a bit more!
Thank you, really glad you enjoyed it !
