What a great entry! I was deeply touched by the narrative and music, which supported the whole gameplay loop quite well. Kudos to the aforementioned musician and you for placing the musical tracks at the right moments within the game.
Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to look at the playthrough again in the future here's the VOD timestamped to your game
The narrative in this game is written so well, and it was really impactful and moving, I was captivated the entire time. The use of sound effects, music and lighting is done increadibly well, and the way the story is told is very unique and interesting. I had to play through the full game because it was so good! Great work! I I won't forget this experience any time soon :)
Really strong atmosphere in this one. The story pulls you in and the music does a great job supporting the mood the whole time.
I also liked the little environmental details, things like the calendars and objects around the room really help sell the narrative. Simple gameplay, but it works well for the kind of experience you were going for. Also, extra props for having it run so smooth on WebGL. Nicely done.
I dont normally like these kinds of story based game but this mad me think, combining the atmosphere with the story was perfect , also the writing was amazing , and the dots around the type writer showing where to go was amazing, and although you didnt make the assests yourself they are used tastefully. Great and underrated game!
Very impressive work for one person. Everything felt bleak, but believable, which I think was the intent
I think this kind of story is really easy to symphatize with - the moments that grabbed me where actually not with the written text, but little things such as the floating objects and the calendars on the wall - this is where I felt the interactive element of the game shone through.
If I have to nitpick - stuff like invisible walls on the park pulled me out of the experience a little bit - but still, it was very well done!
Very good story it reminded me of penumbra in the letter mechanic. Music was fenomenal it helped getting inmersed in the story. I really like this type of games. Good job
This game was incredible. Gameplay was of course incredibly simplistic, but the story was fantastic. I got to run from women (they scare me), I lost family, and I think died at the end? Very good stuff.
Wow, the story is incredible, and the music choices really elevate it. The sound design overall is very strong, and the atmosphere is superb.
Beautiful work!
The art is so good? The story is *chef's kiss*
Crazy good work dude, I wish you the best of luck in placing in this jam! I can't wait to see what else you make!
Very cool! The narrative was engaging and the music was a very nice touch. The ending was subtle and well done, the build up of suspense and uncertainty was great!
Idk if others had this issue but my sensitivity felt very low, a way to adjust it would be very helpful.
I like having a good narrative in my games, but often run out of time to do so. I would totally be interested in teaming up for a future jam, I have my discord server linked in my profile if you want to hit me up!
thank you it was such a beautiful story.
Ambiance is crazy, theme is very respected and the environments very immersive. Amazing work !
Really well made, it was such a heartfelt story! The visuals and audio really help you immerse in it.
The graphics are sooo smooth, I'm impressed you managed to keep that in the web version. Great music choice also. The ending screen with the rain and the dog running alone in the background got me emotional. One hitbox for the typewriter was wonky in the park, not sure what that was. My favorite submission so far!
Thank you for this experience. I cannot imagine what it is like to choose and act in such situations. I hope I never have to.
Well done!
My goodness, that was amazing! Such a deep story and beautiful graphics and you had the most important mechanic a game can have, pet the dog. Truly well done, thanks for the submission and congrats on the success.
Really enjoyed it. The graphics and music are great, and the story is pretty intense.
I got a bit confused in the beginning - kept thinking I needed to turn on lights. I assume it is only the typewriters you can interact with? I'm playing on a laptop/trackpad and found it tricky to target them sometime.
I'll try get further later.
