How does the game fit the theme?
The rooms presented in the game, as well as the cast of characters both fall under the strange category.

A bedroom pretending to be a kitchen, or a kitchen pretending to be a bedroom? Librarian functions hidden in the visage of a parking lot, or a parking lot with librarian functions? Each room offers a question on what it is and what the hotel functions as in its whole.

The resident's themselves are no exception. From a 10 year old child believing he's an adult, talking like a 1950s businessman, to a grandiose, pompous stylist who sees no fault in her ways, as players uncover clues to the robbery, they slowly start to unwrap the strange behavior of the residents.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Cool detective game with great art direction and music! I think with a better capsule art you would have had more players (but I'm guilty of that myself). I would have love more variety in the way you find hints and in the suspects, but I get that your time was really limited. Maybe adding more effects and animations around the text, like colors or a typewriter effect would help a lot to keep the player focused. Great entry, have a nice day!

And if you want a perfect fullscreen for you game and it could also help with your loading time issues, you don't need to launch the game on a new tab on itch.io. You just need to add a little more height to your game on itch.io than you added to your game in Unity. For example, I chose a resolution of 960x600 for my game in Unity and 960x650 on itch.io. This allowed space for the Unity's full-screen banner just below my game window. Have a nice day!

Thank you very much for playing!
I didn't know how the capsule art would be received, so it's very helpful that you mentioned this! The feedback is very appreciated!
I'll keep those vfx tricks in mind for future games as well😊

Hmmm, really interesting style and a bit of content in that amount of time! I wonder what would this game feel like given some more time - overall I had fun!

EDIT: Other players-- give the unity loading screen about 15-30 seconds, it's worth it.

I didn't rate it yet-- I'm having an issue. It's hanging on the Unity loading screen at like 90% and won't progress. I've refreshed, etc. I'll try again in a bit, hopefully it's just me! Good luck.

I guess I wasn't patient enough, sorry :)  It's a long load but the game looks really nice! I'll check it out more in a bit when I have time.
