YES! This was a blast! We had something remotely similar in our heads, jumping between dimension to have a puzzle (similar to what they had in the Titanfall 2 story if you played that) but with ~4 dimensions. As the "musician" in our group I applaud Desak's efforts for making a switching soundtrack, that's a great touch! Very good pacing and a polished tutorial! You rock!

How does the game fit the theme?
The levels are made of multiple strange worlds, taking more or less of the level, and each with their unique theme and rules.
In a sense, it's multiple strange places at once in each level.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
just the font used.

This is really nice. I liked the mechanics and the platforming feels good. Nice puzzle platformer!
I spent like a 10 or 15 minutes with the game trying everything that came to my mind and I just don’t get what I have to do. I tried reaching one door after another according to the numbers, tried entering doors by jumping on them and pressing all the keys on my keyboard, but nothing happens and there is no information about it anywhere, not inside the game, not on the game page, no even on comments.
Probably I’m just dumb so I’m not gonna rate the game, at least before someone will point to to how to play it and I can experience it properly.
Hello, sorry that you encountered this problem. You should normally see a quick summary of the game controls on the bottom left side of the game when you're in the lobby. "Left" and "right" to move around, "space" to jump, "R" to reset a level, "Esc" to leave a level and "up" when you're in front of a door to enter the level.
If I may ask, what device are you playing on ? It could explain why the interface doesn't show ? Though I'm honestly not sure ^^ Let's hope we can figure it out so you can try the game as intended.
Thank you! You saved me! For some reason the only key I did not try is an UP key, and it was not clear for me from the UI hints that I have to press it to enter the door.
Now when I played it, that a very, very clever game actually! Beautifully design and well executed! Starting a level over and over after one mistake is not my thing, but even with that I finished half levels because of how interesting they are.
Great game!
I really like your guys' take on the theme! I did find the magnet dimension to be a little bit frustrating since the controls don't change. Overall though this is really cool and would make a cool full game if given a bit more time and polish. Well done!
Enjoyment: Loved this. Charming and challenging.
Gameplay: Each character felt smooth to play and very balanced for their specific job.
Innovation: The main universe mechanic speaks for itself lol
Theme: Simple and yet distinct. Very well done in this department.
Visuals: Kept the focus on the gameplay. The mechanic could've easily stolen the show, but it was kept at a level that allowed the player to focus and still appreciate what they're looking at.
Audio: Nailed the background music and sound effects.
Overall: Awesome jam game team! Can't wait to see your future projects.
To be honest when I got into the game I didn't expect much. Well, this is probably the most original and creative 2d platformer I played in this game jam, while also being very nicely polished! Yeah, I could nitpick a bit but I don't want to because I had so much fun and am a fan of creative and original things. Very good job, congratz! :))
Oh man. I have a big soft spot for games like this! The platforming feels good, and the realm-switching mechanics make for some really clever levels that feel great to solve! I also really appreciated the dynamic music for each realm. I only wish there was some ending after beating all the levels. Still, fantastic work! I hope you're proud of what you made!
This is super cute! I love how you start in a level select screen and can choose to do a tutorial - great for people who just want to jump in like me! I also really like how the level select had that alternate movement area, it helps introduce the player to a mechanic before they start, which is a really clever way to teach the player without directly telling them. The artwork was adorable! I love the pixelated style, and the music was super soothing and enjoyable. I do think it could've used a little more sfx - for example a jumping sound or some warp noise when you switch over to the alternate movement. Otherwise great job!
Thanks, i'm glad you had a great time playing!
Amazing feedback!
i somehow didn't think to add a jump sound at all (or step sounds), but the warp noise was something in the game's development, until the music and music transitions came to be, then the warp noise felt like it was too much.
We have had a hard time with the pixellated art style, because the solution i found to make the multiple worlds render doesn't handle big resolutions well, so we had to go with a 8x8 style, which isn't easy to do, you can't put many details with so few pixels.
I can feel the love behind every part of this game. The different dimensions are seriously unique in vibes and i especially love the detail of the adaptive music. I also think the level design really shines especially in the last level. This is impressive for a game jam and I loved it
this game is hard(in a good way)! idk how did u manage to add all these mechanics in this short period of time, congrats on this great game!
my friend made most of the levels and i made him modify those, because is was even harder, like almost pixel perfect on some levels xD
and to be honest, there is less mechanics than intended, in the idea brainstorm, the player was supposed to be able to "paint" world areas to solve puzzles.
Glad you like it!
There was a lot more depth to this than I was expecting! I don't think I've seen all these mechanics before, so it was a cool new puzzle platformer! Great game and fits the theme!
Those dark levels were something else. The inverted controls mechanic felt really novel on diagonals, took me a while to figure those out. GG
The game is interesting and varied. The levels have a lot of varied and interesting mechanics. It was fun to play.
The only problem I could find is the controls when the character is upside down, but I think you just need to get used to it. Also, I think level 5 is a bit challenging.
Good job.
