Cute game! The art was simple, cohesive, and charming! Difficulty ramped up pretty quickly by year 4, but I'm not an RTS player so it's a skill issue I think. Awesome job!

The dialog advancing sound reminded me of something else, and I was a bit confused when I heard it. I won't clarify here, but those that know will understand haha. That's not to say it was bad, just....familiar haha.

The Art looks so cute and polished! I think the gameplay is simple but really fun. I also enjoyed the sound effects and music, I think it fits the game really well!

I managed to beat the game after a few tries and I think it's a really good mouse-aim trainer!

Fun game!  Took me a few goes but eventually beat Year 5 with the last crab, it was a good test of skill.  The sprites and music is really nice - I liked the count in at the start of each level/year.

I think if you had disabled the collision on the ants a bit sooner (like when the death animation plays) the game would have been a little easier.  A few times I clicked on an ant that had reached the path and it managed to take a few crabs down with it during its death animation - although maybe we could just say that was the acid left behind by the dead ant, haha.  Nice work though.

Haha yeah great point. I kind of liked that the collisions made it a little harder, but it is kind of silly that the ants are still killing even after their death. The acid is funny though -- we'll just say it's that :)

Fun little game! Very satisfying basic game loop. Feel like you could add some incremental aspects to this game with some numbers going up and extend playability!

Developer

Yeah very true, will try to extend playability for sure in my next game. Thanks for playing!!

Adorable!

Developer

Thanks :)

Clicking those ants is really satisfying and I sure am happy I brought a mouse to work to do it haha

Developer

Haha thanks glad you enjoyed!

Love this simple cute clicker game. The crabs and ants are kinda cute

Developer(+1)

Haha thank you!

Very cute game and art style :)
I think it would have been cool if you could collect points to unlock more effective “weapons” for the ants.
*cough* flamethrower *cough*

Developer

Hahaha yeah a flamethrower would have been good. Thanks for reviewing!

WOW this is so polished and stylish! Really great job!

Developer

Thanks! Means a lot from a fellow animal migration enjoyer :)

While any genre that requires fast clicking is definitely not my strong suit, I really liked this interpretation of the theme. The art, the music and the text fit well together to create a quirky and fun little game, a polished experience.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed!!

Great idea to make the game about a real world event. I love games that double as an education mechanic. The game is very cute. Great job!

Developer

:) Thanks!!

Great game!
love the concept and art style! I agree with some of the other comments that a different track would have made things a little more interesting, as well as some music variation.

I was able to beat the last level by making the window much smaller so I had less distance to go for clicking them, but it was still a super tough level.

Well done!

Developer

Thank you!! And impressive you were able to beat the last one -- I can't haha

Submitted

Cute game! Felt like an aim trainer lol, was really working me in that last level. Took me a few tries but I got it :) I would love if the track that the crabs go on changed a bit each year too, that would be cool. Overall well done and thanks for making and sharing it :)

Developer (1 edit)

Glad you enjoyed!! And haha yeah I actually can't beat year 5 so glad you were able to!

Very polished art and sound, it feels reminiscent of whack a mole.

Developer

Haha yeah I can see it being like whack a mole. Glad you enjoyed!

I loved the paper craft aesthetic. The music loop is great, but it needs to be longer. The music could increase in tempo with the speed of the ant spawn.

Developer

Good idea with music tempo increase, and thanks for reviewing!!

Submitted

I really like how the ants have what seems to be a full face on their top-down perspective.

Developer

Haha yeah true -- my desire for them to have little faces won over realism lol

I love these crabs! Great visual design, gameplay, sfx, and the music slaps. Cute, compact, and creative

Developer

Thank you! :))

The crabs are adorable and I loved the background. It would be neat to have a few different paths for the crabs.

Developer

Ooo different paths is a good idea! Maybe in a future update!

Submitted

Really enjoy the presentation, particularly the painterly look of the background texture. This is definitely fun! I think if I gave a recommendation, it would be to add a one or two more types of ants - ones of varying speeds - rather than simply increasing the speed of gameplay each round.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I ran out of time to add more gameplay complexity, but glad you enjoyed!!
