How does the game fit the theme?
I interpreted Strange Places as a strange place within a video game (on a meta level), and I chose the unusual setting of a loading screen :)
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some small code elements, like saving, come frrom older project.
I didn't create the music myself and used sound assets, some of which I edited. A detailed list can be found in the credits.

last minute ranting here!
This was super creative! I played all the way to the end, the narrative was nice, and the simple puzzles were really neat. I liked the one where you have to actually refresh the page, that was super clever. overall super solid submission!
I think this was the first game that I played from beginning to end - loved it all the way. The puzzles are fun and it's fun that the loading bar has such an attitude. I like the sounds - they fit nicely, specially the piano note when completing a level! The boss battle was cool.
It's so hilarious at the start, so moving and deep at the ned.
This game is cool! The interpration of theme is very unique and the whole game is nicely laid-out, the difficulty curve is on point, the dialogues are pretty fun! Really well done :)
That was just....awesome!
(both the the puzzles and the story - though, 16 and 20 were kinda annoying...just what you'd expect from a loading bar...)
What a unique idea for a game! I loved how varied the challenges were. The "refresh" bit was awesome, I wonder how you got that to work. Getting invested in a loading bar is something I never thought would happen. Great job!
That was so much fun! I almost did something similar, and I think you did a great job with the idea. I would have loved more music, too.
Super creative, and most importantly fun and engaging. You've implemented the pacing between levels and the length of the levels really well. From one solo dev to another, solid work!
I really like the game, and also can expected a very pixelated game to be accessed at the end as a joke
Thanks for playing! Haha yeah, thats's a nice idea.
the bar does mention being scared of the game it loads being bad, so it would be funny but it's still a very cool concept
Amazing idea good job.
Really cool idea, I felt bad for the poor little loading bar. Played it through fully and really enjoyed it. Amazing job!
Great theme interpretation. Loved the game it was so fun to see weirder things each level. Good job! :D
Great concept :D i really like this game good very very cool!
I loved it so much! Seems simple yet the idea of playing with the player on the meta level made it so enjoyable!
Really loved this! 💚
So many inventive and funny ideas packed into one game.
It feels fresh and creative — great work!
If you have time, feel free to check out our game too.
Wonderful concept and execution! Never thought I'd find myself invested in the character development of a loading bar XD I loved all the little puzzles <3
Great game!
wow didn't expect to get so existential yet encouraging experience by a supertroll loading screen. i wish you nothing but the best as well! great entry!
