Theme Interpretation
You journey through the factory and back out again to the helicopter. (orginally I was going to make it so you had to fly to the factory, map the route through the factory, and fly back home again but I ran out of time and energy.)

Super tough game - managed to get passed the first barrier but couldn't make it much further.  The pistol enemies were already hard for me to get close to and then the sniper was even harder, haha.  Really nice effects in game, I liked the lighting and the bazooka explosion was nice and beefy.

I haven't played a fighting game in a while. So, thank you for this game. I especially like the world that depends on the character's movement: when I don't move, nothing moves. It's an unusual mechanic, requiring unusual control skills. The lighting is also cool. Every room is a mystery until I get there.

I like the graphics and old arcade vibe!

Gameplay controls could be a little improved, not sure exactly, but something was a little frustrating in movement, maybe it's need just a little polish,

Didn't get to the end as sniper was too much for me :D

Connection to the theme is kid of a stretch though,

Cool game, I like the ever present slow mo in the game, it's a nice way of implementing the wildcard and makes you feel like an action hero.

The art is all really top notch and reminds me of old shareware pc games I played as a kid.

Difficulty seems to be in the right place since I made it through with only a sliver left, that buzzsaw/sniper combo towards the end completely messed me up.

I realized that the bullet line gets more white when they are ready to fire but the change in brightness is a little understated and you might give another indicator to let you know an enemy can fire again.

Nice work on the entry.

Amazing art and the punch impact is satisfying. Crawling towards enemies to punch them is wicked haha

I like how you have to commit to your jump direction

I didn't like how the jumping worked and the lighting in the game could have also been improved a lot. Other than that I found the bullet time cool. The graphics were good too. I thought I was invincible so I kept attempting something dumb but then I eventually died haha.

Hmm... is it too dark? I can see why being unable to change direction while in the air could be annoying (and maybe not one of my best ideas...) Maybe after the Jam I'll add a easy mode switch with more health and changing direction. Thanks for playing :)

Surfing on a bullet across multiple screens is pretty friggin' rad, dude.

It was originally a bug but I kept it because i liked it lol.

Cool game! I did find it to be pretty hard but the mechanics were very cool! I also seems like jumping on one of the enemies head soft locks you so I had to restart. Well done over all, thanks for making and sharing it!

Developer

Thanks, that's weird... I just checked and it seems like it only occurs when you are at an angle between a wall and another CharacterBody2d. Seems like is_on_floor() returns false for some reason. I was able to fix it by setting the CollisionShape2d to a RectangleShape2d instead of a CapsuleShape2d, I'll update it after the jam.
