Solid FPS with satisfying shooting and good tension. I liked the atmosphere and enemy audio cues. A bit more feedback when getting hit and clearer interactions would make it even better. Great job overall!
Good job! This is the first game of this genre i have rated throughout the jam. I am not sure if it's because i'm under puzzle fatigue or something else but i had a lot of fun! About feedbacks; i believe that the most important aspect to improve on is the sound design, and i mean in particular the sound design for the enemies. If the enemies themselves made more sound the atmosphere would be way creepier and scary! Right now even if a creature comes out of a corner you may be surprised but not really scared. Going further, maybe a tense music in the background could help.
Beyond that, one thing i noticed is that most of the times i picked up an item with E, it wasn't because i saw the item but because the prompt appeared on screen, my adivce here is to make the items themselves more visible, maybe a brighter color or some other effects. At last, a pause menu would be welcomed in this kind of tense game. Keep it up, you still did good!
The grooving dude was awesome, great addition 👌 Things like that are why I love indie games haha.
Really solid entry for a week of development. The pacing and suspense was well done. I kept worrying if I would have enough bullets when they would start swarming.
You can tell the player has a lot of swag by how much he sways when he walks lol.
Great work!
First FPS I've played this jam! Shooting felt very nice, especially paired with the SFX. I liked being able to hear the enemies breathing before I saw them most of the time, which alleviated most jumpscares, but the ones around the corners for sure got me. I wish there was a bit more in terms of interaction prompts at gates and doors, letting me know I can press E to continue through them. I also think this would benefit from having more feedback when you're hit rather than just the healthbar going down. But hey, for one person in a week, this was great. I had a lot of fun!
Very well made! i liked the art, the atmosphere and the overall gameplay
Very atmospheric game! I like oppressive the darkness is and that you hear the enemies before you even see them. Due to maze-like levels itself, you never know from which corner the enemy will show up. My only nitpick is that while limited ammo can cause tension, I think that amount of ammo that player can find is a bit too little and even after landing every shot, I still was out of ammo and got myself killed without other options to fight back (though maybe it might be my fault for being blind and not being thorough in looking for it). Still very good submission! Good work.
Cool game! You jumpscared me a lot :D
I would suggest you add a text to opening doors because I got pretty confused what to do in the first level.
Had fun shooting zombies. Looks really nice and realistic, you've set the scene up really well.
