How does the game fit the theme?
"8,400 meters below, you are diving into the heart of the Bermuda Devil's Triangle."

This is the graveyard of the world. A place where planes vanish from the radar and massive ships are swallowed by the tides without a trace. It is, without a doubt, the strangest place on our planet; but the truth lies far deeper than the wreckage.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Sounds

The presentation alone was amazing. The layered backgrounds, all the little particles drifting upward, the vegetation popping against the deep blues; it really sells the deep blue sea feeling. It doesn't just look good, it feels atmospheric. The flashlight getting more important as things get darker was such a good design choice too. You can feel the descent.

Combat felt good as well. The cooldown on the harpoon and dash forces you to think instead of just spamming, especially once the aggressive sharks start showing up. Early on it was rough (in a good way), but once I got into the shop and started upgrading, it felt like a full power spike. I went from struggling to full underwater Doom Slayer mode lol.

The environmental effects in the cave shop were really nice too, the subtle water ripple on the surface adds so much polish. And I like how each stage visually shifts tone. By the third stage I was fully locked in and determined to see where it was going. Then the whole Cthulu escalation and those nightmare shark-things with human skulls made things unsettling real fast lol.

The ending wrapped it up nicely and made the whole descent feel purposeful. This game was really impressive, super polished, and just feels beyond jam quality.

Really fun game with some really cool art! Great entry!

Really fun game, I loved the ambience and visuals so much. I was craving more at the end of it, felt like a really good beginning of a larger game. The little details were great, the dialogue with the other divers, the megalodon in the background. The water audio was really good, but I didn't like the fish bite sound or the danger zone sound, it took me out of the game a bit. Spectacular work!!

Really nice game! I especially want to say that I love the choice of having the environment get darker as you get lower (making it harder to spot danger) and the little environmental bubbles that can fool you with quickly incoming movement.

The art is beatutiful and the game was so fun! I loved the main idea :)

Really impressive game for a game jam tbh, that’s a great entry

I’d see that into a full blown game where people can customise their character, have a better harpoon (over just the simple 3 upgrades which are quite fast to get), having tools to use on cooldowns, explore more environment

I really liked the game, visually it’s also great, pixel art is on point, sound design is mastered too

Congrats guys 🙏

The visuals were absolutely gorgeous, but some atmospheric music or ambiance would go  a long way! The gameplay was engaging, but got way too easy once I purchased all the upgrades, which I managed to do at the first stop. A good solution would be to stagger the powerups, make them more expensive, or add more. Otherwise, its a pretty good game!

The game is pretty fun, simple gameplay, easy to play. Perhaps it needs some background music, but the oppressive atmosphere is quite successful.

A lovely little game, it was a lot of fun to play. As feedback, I would suggest adding some atmospheric background music to enhance the experience. Other than that, it's great — keep up the good work!

Every level's background is fantastic art, fit the vibes perfectly. Good vibes, I might add. I did find myself trying to speed up the dialog every time.

Really great game you've got here! I quite liked it, there was a lot of great attention to detail, like your surroundings getting progressively darker and the fish fleeing your light.

A few notes:

- the text speed is kind of agonizingly slow. It feels like it should be at least twice as fast and be skipable. Loved the writing though

- The enemies rarely, but sometimes just passed through me without damaging me

- an effect to let you know your dash is back could be neat

- I got all three upgrades the first time I reached the shop, which made the rest of the game almost easier than the beginning had been, at least earlier on. I'd consider either making more upgrades on later shops, or make it so that you can only get one of the three power-ups in each shop (I think there were only 3, right?)

Thanks a lot for your submission, and good luck with the jam!

Hello! diving into the sea is a really noice use of the theme :3 The art was fantasmic, your use of shaders and layers worked really really well visually :3 I think the only thing I could ask for, is a tutorial and some music/a skip button for dialogue :3 cool game!

Really enjoyed my time playing this and was hoping for more honestly haha. Could have done with upgrade shop being refreshed is my only critique/complaint.

The diving and shooting reminds me of dave the diver! I like the visuals

Super cool game! The dashing and shooting was really fun and I like how it gets progressively darker and more dangerous. The only thing I would add is maybe a visual indicator of when your dash can be used again because it's a little bit hard to tell when it has reloaded. Still an amazing game though!
