This was a wholesome little game. Honestly, a nice change of pace compared to a lot of the more intense jam entries.

I liked the whole concept. Tweaking humidity, decorations, plants, and seeing what kind of Goober you’d generate was surprisingly satisfying. It felt a bit like filling out an encyclopedia and trying to complete the set.

There’s actually a good amount of depth in the combinations, too. It made me want to experiment more just to see what I was missing.

Really charming idea and nicely executed. Good job on this one.

Glad to hear you enjoyed! Our team had guessed the Backrooms would be a popular backdrop of many games this Jam and we thought of ways to avoid following a similar path. Thanks for the feedback and awesome Gooberium!!

Great work on the game! The game looks amazing - nothing feels out of place. Trying to document the different types of goobers was a fun challenge.

The customizability of the goober biomes is a great way to give the player creative freedom! And I love the details of adding lore to each goober.

One suggestion is to streamline the restart so that the player can create one biome after another. For example, instead of having a restart button you have to click every time you want to create a new biome, the player's table could simply reset and you can continue to create a new biome from there.

Overall, fantastic work on the game! It's very relaxing and enjoyable to play.

If your team has the time, we would love for you all to try our game! Any feedback is appreciated.

I love goobers

Art: The art is amazing! Everything looks polished and very appealing.

Gameplay: I really enjoyed being able to pick different plants and decorations to build an environment and unlock new goobers. It feels rewarding and cozy.

Audio: The music was relaxing and not too in your face. It fit the cozy vibe really well.

Feel: The fade to black transitions between scenes felt a bit unnecessary. Removing them entirely might feel smoother than fading every time you open settings or press play.

Overall: Really charming and fun experience. Great work!

Very well done, artwork and all the systems work well together. I got a Bulbrog :D I'd love to see it progress into a bigger terrarium where all the gooberiums could run around and roam together, for example.

GOOOOOOBERS

I like the concept, this feels easy to play and can get quite creative to find new species

Maybe it would be nice to be able to see the collections (saving the containers done) so we can check the stats from each at a glance and be able to tweak new ones in order to try to get missing ones (but I think the game is not persisted on reload ?)

Goobers design are perfect, feels a bit like flash games era (in a good way of course)

Music is well balanced, the game feels polished

The catch to share goobers in comments is also quite smart to introduce, this is a nice addition ! Maybe add a screenshot button to easily save / share goobers, or even a shareable URL so people can send it to modify to others ? Idk if it’s feasible with unity / webgl build ? (parsing url param)

Cool game, great job guys 👍

Did a troll container and found lantern frog, that's perfect LMAO

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! We would have liked to add a screenshot button, but that was a bit out of scope for us. The idea of sharing a terrarium for others to modify is a really cool idea as well!

Thanks for checking out our game and awesome gooberium!! :D

Great game. It probably has one of the best art styles in this jam. Everything is very well polished — I can’t really find anything to criticize.

I call it Gooby Mc Goobson they are my child.

nice chill game, I will come back to complete the goobapedia I just wish there was more content in terms of ways to decorate the terrarium and maybes some bigger container options too.

Average score 4.5/5

Gooby Mc Goobson is a great name 11/10

We actually planned for a third biome, but cut it to save time & add invasive goobers. We'd love to add it in an update sometime!

Hi

This is very much a feels-good game.

Happy, bright and cute.

This felt like a re-stickable sticker book we had back in 90's.

Very fun, and what I like especially is the codex.

To make all the terrariums fit for different goobs, fun.

Thank you
