This had me laughing out loud. What a perfect premise for this theme, wonderfully executed. It's so much fun to play. Bravo! Don't stop making games!

Nice work on the AI. The target and your assassin both feel fairly realistic in the way they react to you!
I gave it an honest play through the first time. But when I played a second time, I discovered I could cheese it by just sprinting 100% of the time XD. It seems I can run faster than both the target and the assassin, so I was able to clear the game really quickly. I think a stamina bar would be helpful.
Also there were times where my target was walking next to someone in the same disguise. It would be great if I could accidentally kill the wrong one and be punished for it, instead of the "auto-aim" ensuring my success.
That said, this is still a really well-executed game in such a short time and I had fun playing. Good work!
I got pretty addicted to this one! I feel like I constantly have tradeoffs to make. Keeping liars alive to keep my options open, juggling my limited draws / discards / bullets, obviously gambling on the poker hands, etc. The game felt a bit too easy once you get the ball rolling, but maybe that's the point :). It felt good rolling in lots of $$$, though it would be nice if there were ways to gamble with that money or more things in the store to spend it on. By midgame I was easily buying everything available and I completely forgot I had a debt to pay lol. Excellent work!
The visuals and audio create a thick atmosphere. It was very immersive. Good work!
My game's visual aesthetic was similar but way more simplistic. I didn't use plain HTML/JS, but I did use a "code first" approach with C++, SDL, and Emscripten. Do you have any tips and tricks you can share on how you achieved the CRT effects? Those are so cool and I wish I could have fit those into my own game!
Balancing the various systems was lots of fun. Everything felt very well-tuned. I was able to scrape by and pay off my debt just in time! I played again just to see how high I could push my debt, and was hoping I might unlock a secret customer who would sell me a gun to defend myself at the end. Unfortunately, I still met my demise XD. Great work!
A fun twist on tower defense. I think it just needs a little refinement. I don't think it would be challenging enough if I could mark a suspicious target the moment I spot him, so I think you have the right idea by restricting that. But maybe the player could choose who the troops inspect / search? I liked how you varied the speeds of the people to make it more challenging to keep track of who was who. Overall, good work!
What a fun premise! The weird creatures and their one-liners were cute and funny. I see the Slay The Spire influences, but you did a great job putting your own twist on it. The whole game is very well executed. Great work!
I didn't see any cards that let me "block", and therefore didn't understand the purpose of "gaslight". Did I miss something or did blocking not make it into the game in time?
What a great game! My only complaints are the symbol colors sometimes blend into the door and it's hard to see the shapes, and one of the doors has trouble opening -- I think it's on the level where it's two green and two blue doors, and the answer is all the way on the right.
Regardless, I got knocked down a few times and I still came back to try again! I eventually made it to the top. These were some satisfying puzzles :). Great work!
The goal is to keep 3 letters in place, and only change 2 of them.
So DEBUT -> DEPOT (changed 3rd and 4th letter), or TANGS -> LUNGS (changed 1st and 2nd letter) would work. I would have liked better visual feedback to indicate this, but ran out of time.
I really like where your brain went though! I wanted to add bonus points for finding perfect anagrams like that, but ran out of time. I'd say you're playing on "extreme" difficulty 😉
That was very funny. I was having so much fun reading the ads it kinda ruined my aim XD. I wanted one upgrade that increased the area of effect of my crosshair or something. Maybe a nice shotgun! While I think the art was great, this got me thinking it would be so fitting if I was on the highway shooting billboards as they fly by (getting larger until the last second). With the cops in pursuit (explaining the increase in speed). I had a lotta fun though, great work!
Clever puzzle design. I liked that the puzzle is solvable if you think hard enough, but if you mess up you get more information. It was a very natural hint system that felt good to play. I don't think the health and timer added anything to the experience. I think between the lying people and the maze it's a fun and complete game. Good work!
I think the game idea is really close to being pretty fun. I was intrigued by the idea of having to choose between maximizing or minimizing my score, with a high risk -> high reward thing going on. But I'm not sure it's executed correctly in its current form with only two rounds and I didn't see the multiplier do anything? Regardless, good work!
I think I suck at this game 'XD. I got to a point where I didn't have currency to buy any locations, and I never had enough to upgrade my main town to make anything cheaper. I couldn't advance the game anymore. Is there an end turn button anywhere? Is there another action to take?
The aesthetics are really cool and creepy with the eyeballs. I think if I had a little more handholding, and maybe a few mechanics tweaks this could be a really satisfyingly simple resource management game. Well done!
I liked the hand drawn art style and the mysterious writing was very intriguing.
I got to level 4. From what I saw, I would have liked more challenge. Maybe some tricky interactions between the buttons/doors. Maybe constraints on what shapes the player can switch between (instead of changing freely). I also didn't see any effect of rotating.
Well done on making a game!
Great atmosphere... That was scary! Good level design and the limited inventory space give it that Resident Evil 1 feeling.
For my game, I had a really similar idea with a flashlight that interacts strangely with stuff. Comparing the two is a fun lesson in game design for me (I think yours is more fun :) ), so I thank you for that!
Great game, well done!
Great level design! I think it fits the theme perfectly. The Pi room is a very clever secret. It's hard to find unless you've already played through the game and learned how the portals worked. It's also a very difficult room with lots of portals, so it makes sense that you'd want the player to master this skill before they find it!
I had a lot of fun playing. Well done!
