How does the game fit the theme?
Draculock is an action anomaly sighting detective game! Your job is to find the supernatural's laying amuck in the strange place of nior New York city. A place where humans and supernaturals struggle to co-exist.
We didn't have time to fully balance the game, so it might get super hard out of nowhere.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
- KayKit's City Builder Bits (Free)
- CaptainProton42's Toonshader
- leopeltola's Outline and Highlights Shader

Very cool concept and style. I like how you implemented camera when you go behind an object. Good job! :)
This is a really cool concept for a game, with great visuals! You guys did such a great job making the vibe and atmosphere really great. I especially like the subtle rain / see-thru effects that trigger when you walk behind tall buildings; it helps with gameplay a lot and adds to the 'neo noir' vibe. The vfx and sfx when you trigger the abilities are also really well done!
Some feedback:
One thing I wished I could see in-game was the player's goal! Initially, I was very confused because the game's description describes the gameplay as "an anomaly detecting game", but the instructions only say to "go to where the bodies are" with no mention of where/what anomalies we should be searching for. I spent my first couple playthroughs just running around eating bodies, until I finally managed to catch a glimpse of a blood trail and it became obvious I should also be watching for the killer.
Goood game. But when I use [I] abiiity 2nd time it lags so much. :]
Loved the animations and the abilities of the main character. Found it very hard to know what to do and I kept losing within 30 seconds. The closest I came to being able to play was finding the body but immediately I lost again. I saw the note about finding the shop but after >5 playthroughs I haven't seen it (maybe a skill issue). Also the 'Begin' button in the menu after I died wouldn't do anything so I had to fully quit and restart the game each time. Would love to try this again in the future if there was a bit more of an introduction :)
Wah thank you so much! That build unfortunately started on the wrong scene which was entirely our bad, should be fixed! Thank you for playing :]
Yo, this is pretty sick! Very cool art and vibes. Took some attempts to figure out what to do, but managed to catch some monsters (with some casualties along the way). The shop upgrades took a bunch of clicks to be purchased.
Great work!
Thank you so much for playing! Ty for letting us know about the shop upgrade bug
Loved the style and vibe created by the visuals and sound and the mix of 2d and 3d was very cool, especially as buildings disappear so the camera can handle where the character is. The music also stopped looping after a little bit but really enjoyed it while it was playing. I wasn't able to find what I was supposed to do but enjoyed running around the city and using the character's abilities.
Incredible Art Direction !
I just never find the shop ahah But that was cool !
Yaaay! Thank you for playing, yea the shop is a little confusing and is "highlighted" in red near the spawning location.
Mind blown with this game man!
Thank you!!
A bit difficult to handle at first but the art style is definitely original !
While this game looks and feels really good, I has trouble finding the shop and understanding the concept the game in general. Otherwise, great game!
The art style is really cool! And I like the premise. I wish the game did a better job at explaining itself though. I had to read your description here and on the game's side to understand anything.
