Darkest Depths is our take on the Brackeys Game Jam theme, “Strange Places”. You play as an exploration submarine sent into the ocean’s darkest waters to photograph its most mysterious creatures and objects.

The audio and art are pretty nice. I wouldn't expect myself to enjoy this kinda game but I actually had a lot of fun. Nice job!

Awesome! I really love the concept and the graphic! It's just chill to play with and fun to explore around the ocean! Look forward for more different level or item around the ocean!!

I really enjoy the concept of this game! The music in the game pairs really well with the pixel art style. I wanted to collect all of the fishes, but I was getting brutally attacked by the swordfish and the narrow walls in some areas. It was hard to explore certain spots because of that, making it difficult  to get all of photos in one go. Maybe pulling back on the amount of damage when smacking walls or something? I would love to see this expanded, I had a lot of fun! Congrats on a very polished  game!

I enjoyed this one a lot. The idea is a really cool one - I think the main drawback was it was a little hard to maneuver. So it felt a bit punishing to be constantly attacked and take damage from bouncing off the walls.

The premise is super cool - I didn't get every picture in one go, but I got close and I did see all the creatures at least once while playing

I manage to picture them all!
The music and pixel art complement each other beautifully, everything blends perfectly.

It’s great to see you’re part of the Godot family too!

Is it the same map as Dave the Diver?

What a creative and fun idea! I love the aspect that you're exploring the ocean and taking photos of sea creatures. I do think the game was a bit punishing at times - it's hard to doge a shark when you move so slow - but otherwise it was great! I love how the screen even gets darker the further you go down!

The giant angler fish in the dark gave me a spook! Good execution and fun game play.
