How does the game fit the theme?
Gravity acts strange in this asteroid field: its based on color. And your color is the only thing you control.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I made all code during the jam.

It's a simple game, but it's a lot of fun! Controlling movement by color and gravity is really creative, and makes for a neat challenge :) I think it would be nice to have a game over screen when you get sucked into an asteroid's gravity and can't move so that you can restart, but otherwise, it's a really cool game!

Solid mechanic, tough as nails to do right.

Pretty unique mechanic. Took me a minute to grasp it and even then sometimes it's a bit odd. It would be interesting to see other colored asteroids maybe move and absorb other ones sometimes. I'm not sure why these asteroids combine together, but it's nice to look at.

Developer

Thanks for playing and sharing! The "a bit odd" bit is intentional ;)

The initial disorientation is due to the game not being balanced yet.

There's no explanation to the asteroids combining together, other than simple "bigger eats smaller".

This game has a really strong visual identity and was pretty relaxing. I'm not sure if there was a failure state, but I think the game would've been better if there was a larger penalty for hitting larger asteroids. I also think some sound effects would've gone a long way to making the game more meditative, but it's impressive how satisfying you made it without any. The zoom effect did a lot to sell the fact that you were getting a lot bigger.

Developer

Thanks a lot for your kind and detailed thoughts! There's no failure state and I have no plans for it, instead I'm going to slightly twist the odds against the player as the score grows. I'm working on the sound now and will publish after the rating is over.

What a simple idea (in the best of ways!). Controlling the spectrum was really fun and more intuitive than I thought it would be. Great game!!

Unique idea & good implementation! For me the key to scoring here is paying close attention to the lines indication color affinity on the circle

Very interesting concept. The game felt a bit hard to grasp in the beginning and I didn’t get really far. Keep up the good work though!

Developer

Thank you! Yes, the beginning is too random and needs balancing.

This one was quite interesting to play! I can appreciate a really original mechanic!

It was a little bit confusing at first but once it clicks, it clicks.

Developer

Thank you! It definitely needs balancing to make the start easier, I'm planning to work on it.

I loved the idea and the game itself! The only thing I miss is highscore (personally I got to 1001) and some atmospheric background music :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a ton! I was working on physics-based synthesized background audio but run out of time, I'm going to add it after the rating is over. As for highscore, the game is not balanced yet so there's no difficulty increase - once that's done, I will definitely consider a highscore table.
