StrangeSpaceWell, I'm glad to finally discover a Guitar Hero like project where I can actually keep up with the music. This game is really cool (or should I say sick? xD)
What's great:
- The general aesthetics are awesome.
- Love that every character even has their own frame around the portrait as they speak
- The songs are fire!
What could be improved:
- IMHO, the Easy mode gameplay gets too repetitive sometimes. A huge chunk of time is just you pressing Z,X,Z,X,Z,X,... in the same rhythm which is not very exciting
- I'd love to see more visuals during the performance. The models you drew for the main characters are amazing, but they are static which is not very exciting

An Estranged ForestI really liked this one! The art style immediately stands out and the characters have a lot of personality lol. The rhythm gameplay works well too, the notes actually line up with the music which is the most important thing for a game like this and you nailed that. After a while some of the songs felt a bit long and the patterns started getting a little repetitive, so maybe shorter tracks or more variation could help keep the energy up. Also some stronger feedback when you hit notes could make it feel even more satisfying. But overall this was a really stylish and fun rhythm game, great job!!

ShiftspaceI am not a fan of the guitar games but this is really well done! You got an entire game running with all teh menu setled up and a tinny story and 3 entire songs!! This is very cool.
Idk if its posible to loose, I slects teh hard option and I was able to manage until the end, I'm not the best but I guess I'm not the worst neither?
I am not sure about that but, looking for bad things, I think that maybe the letters when you do it right for a long time are not exactly synchronized with the music? (I may be wrong, I only saw them a little time)

Cats In Strange PlacesI would usually write some criticism of something but nah: ABSOLUTE CINEMA/10! Maybe it's my bias speaking but this is surely top 3 games that i played. If hard mode didn't exist i would have complained about the game being too easy but i can't even do that, in fact i played the hard mode versions in free play after the story! Honestly the gameplay and musics work so if this wanted to win the game jam it should try to work harder on the story and on the art, but i'm saying this just to be a perfectionist!
Thanks for playing and for the kind words! I also really wanted to jack up the difficulty, but we've made really hard jam games before and it never goes well when it comes to reviews.
I really wanted to add Expert and Guitar mode - where the chart follows the guitar solos - but I just ran out of time 😭

That was fun, unfortunately I always realize in these games how bad my tempo is :D The characters are fun, but the dialogue is to long imo. But great entry, (and poor Lars) :D

Waggon: Western TDI really liked the fun characters and writing! The songs could be shorter imo since the rhythm gameplay felt a bit too repetitive to stay engaging over longer stretches. Some additional visual flair, like extra VFX and animations, would go a long way toward livening things up.
That being said great submission, also props for the artstyle!

Swine SafariHuge genre fan. You got the most important part, actually syncing the notes to the songs and using a straightforward interface for the purpose. The story mode feels more like something imposed on the game by the theme than an actually helpful addition that adds much value. Knowing for sure which instrument I'm actually following each song would have helped my intuitions too!

Ratbyrinththis is FIRE!! the art style is amazing and the characters have a lot of personality. i loved how each character had their own frame outside their art when speaking it was a subtle but really noticeable detail. if i could drop a suggestion i'd say the feedback for pressing a button on the beat correctly was a little unclear, there wasn't a noticeable sound or reaction beyond the text and i feel like a more in your face response would've made it more engaging. great work tho i love the game :)

Evil is... Entertained!I think its a real shame that people are less inclined to check out games that are download only. Honestly quite a lot of gems just can't fit on web and this one surely fits. And all of that with only three people?! Incredible, I hope this game gets much more attention. A game this solid deserves it!

Rift RunnersHOW DOES THIS ONE NOT HAVE ANY RATINGS YET????
Honestly I may be a bit biased because I love rhythm games, but this was easily in my top 10 this jam. It has an insane amount of polish, the visuals really are insane, and I love that each character has a frame that matches their personality.
While the mixing in the songs sounds great, I think the dialog parts sound a bit muted. Other than that, I really, really liked this game! I would buy a complete version of this in a heartbeat.
