Hello, nice game! I enjoyed it, it's a neat, unique game. I like the pixel art and music. Good work!

Great idea to implement the jam's "Reflective" theme !
The text is a bit hard to read due to its font and lack of contrast.
However, it is a gorgeous game about introspection that can talk to a lot of people.
Well done ! ✨🌈❄️

Appreciate it!
Which text specifically was difficult to read? The response text in the snow or the player's dialogue?

Mainly the response text in the snow

Gorgeous game! I like the art and presentation, with the blizzard talking to us! Lot of polish on the UI too. I feel like the message is very similar to what we made, guess we both had the same introspection this winter hah.

Woah nice job! I really liked the parallax and the presentation this was great! The UI was smoothly animated which I really liked and it did a great job at setting the tone with the music.

The only things I have to note that it was a little hard to read things, the light blue background with white text was far too little contrast to be clearly readable, I imagine this issue could be worsened by what display someone might be using. Additionally, the font used is pretty cool however it is not very readable as well, I feel that for 8 bit styled fonts, having something with slightly more pixels per letter does a good job at being readable.

However, apart from these minor gripes, I enjoyed my time with this nice little game! Good job!

Thanks for the kind words! These were my main concerns. It's hard in the 160x90 space to make text readable while keeping it consistent with the rest of what's happening on screen. Yeah, I do agree that the intro sequence text is not readable, I threw that together in the last couple minutes to be fair.

The art and music had very cozy vibes. Relatable dialogue, although I found the text a bit hard to read sometimes (may be monitor issue). Maybe have the text stay highlighted once you go over it with the cursor? Good game!

The parallax was used in a way that's not common in jam games. Very tastefully done! The particles did put some load on my computer but otherwise it was an awesome game. The story really spoke to me in a personal way and made me think about my own experiences.

Really enjoyed the parallax intro, and the snow particles, and just the general art style. Felt like you put some effort into stylizing GUI as well, which is always a nice touch for dialogue based games.

Lovely atmosphere, I like this pixelated style. The storytelling mechanic is really unique. Great job!

Very creative visual storytelling and complementing Gymnopédie. I spent a few minutes just enjoying the snowfall and symphony. If your goal was to make the players stop and take a breath then you suceeded. Well done!
