WOAH! I think this was prob the best tower defense game I played in a while, I wouldn't think it would be on a game jam submission page LMAO!
The amount of depth here is kind of crazy for one week. The mix of tower defense and resource management works really well, and the roguelite upgrades on top make every run feel meaningful. Unlocking new buildings and units through choices keeps things interesting, and the permanent upgrades between runs actually make you feel like you’re progressing instead of just restarting from scratch.
Everything feels polished too. The visuals are clean, the sci-fi vibe is strong, animations are smooth, and the sound effects when placing buildings are super satisfying. The tutorial was clear and didn’t overload me, which is impressive for a game with this many systems.
If I had to point out improvements, I’d say the difficulty spikes pretty hard after the first boss, and sometimes it feels like progression depends a bit too much on getting lucky with upgrades. Unlocking units that you can’t actually use yet because the required resource is locked can feel frustrating. Also, rewards could maybe be spread out a bit more so it doesn’t feel feast-or-famine early on.
But overall, this is seriously impressive for a jam game. With some balance tweaks and expansion, I could easily see this becoming a full release. Great job.
