The atmosphere of the game is great. It feels unsettling like you're really in a strange place. Great work :)
I FEEL GREEN has a fantastic itch.io presentation. The page sets expectations clearly and matches the tone of the game really well.
The experience itself is genuinely unsettling without leaning too heavily on common horror tropes. The visual style feels deliberate and controlled, and the atmosphere is strong from beginning to end. The sound design especially stands out, it’s eerie and immersive without being overwhelming.
I also appreciated how each level felt distinct. The transitions between them made the experience feel segmented in an intentional way, and the control prompts at the beginning of each section were helpful without breaking immersion.
Mechanically, things are very simple... almost intentionally minimal. At times I found myself wanting just a little more interaction or friction, but I understand that the focus here was mood and psychological unease rather than complex gameplay systems.
Overall, this is a confident and cohesive experimental horror piece. Great work stepping outside your comfort zone, it paid off.
This freaked me out somewhat and as that is what you were going for kudos! Great use of the dialog/narrative pacing, was purposefully slow keeping me on the edge of worry. Great game jam entry. Good work.
I feel like 2D is such a tough medium for horror games but you nailed it. Absolutely loved the visuals, and the audio created the tension that really made this work. Also, yeah I looked into the abyss.
Very unsettling with a strong atmosphere and drawn out sequences. Great job!
Hits the theme perfectly. love the art and the way the story goes. Its my type of game. Great Job.
I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere. The visuals are strong, and the sound design is just perfect. Nice work!
I find this game very interesting. I’d say it’s a fairly unique idea. I really liked the art and sound effects, and at the beginning I might have enjoyed a bit of parallax to add a stronger sense of depth to the scene.
You start without really knowing what’s going on, and as you progress, your curiosity grows about what’s out there and how the things will unfold. Overall, it was a great experience for sure! Good job!
Quite unique! I enjoyed it, it made me feel tense in several parts, great game!
Insanely good visuals, story telling and atmosphere! Gotta agree that there's some kind of lack of gameplay. But you've got an amazing base. I was thinking about different endings, I think that would spice the game up by a lot and might even justify the lack of gameplay mechanics. Idk it kinda hat some undertale vibes to it IMO. Just this really strange place and atmosphere. Really well done!
I agree with the criticism 100%. My focus with this was primarily to experiment and focus more on atmosphere and mood, but theres no reason that cant be accompanied by some kind of mechanical gimmick or multiple endings, its something I plan to take seriously in the future, thanks for stopping by :)
