It's pretty nice, but it lacks some animations, juice and feedbacks. Anyway good job for only one person !

This is a clever idea! I was surprised the first time I finished to see that it was one of several possible endings and went back again. The staircases are a little cumbersome, so it's too bad they're such a main part of navigating the levels. That being said, the length works well for multiple endings and everything is executed nicely. Great job!

Such an interesting concept!  The storytelling was really good.  I like the book epilogues.  The time switching was well implemented.  I agree with others that the repeated sprites made it difficult to visually "parse" the level.

Super innovative, well done!

Hi ethanolmighty,

Thanks for playing my game. Glad you liked it.

Such a good execution for a first time submission! I really liked the different time periods for the character most scene switching submissions I have seen only do it between 2 different ones.

Hi Krogoth907,

Thanks for playing. I name the last character Olp the 51st, cause  I was too ambitious to have 51 characters and time periods. lol, I was crazy.
Reduced to 3 atleast cause I could not find good puzzles that explained my concept of ripple effect by just 2 time periods.
Anyway, I learnt the dynamics of a gamejam. Will do better.

Glad you liked the game. Many thanks again for playing and taking time to comment on it.

Loved the multiple endings! Art, sfx and music were really nice. Only issue I had was with the stairs, didnt see them right away

Hey Jackleroq,

Thanks for playing my game.
There are 7 total endings. Hope you found them all. ;)

Creating a multiple endings game for a jam for your first game jam is incredible! Though here are some feedbacks:

  • Try using different sprite / tiles for floor, background & stairs as i can hardly notice there are stairs that i can walk up and down.
  • The time travelling mechanics is cool though that im able to go back in time and do something that affects my future.
  • Show some visual / audio cues whenever the player does something. Like for the chest for example, I didnt notice that I get the book after opening the chest. I had to scroll down and see all the instructions and try out everything in order to see if they work.

Congrats on completing your first jam. Great job and well done!

Hey JemyDev,

Thanks for the appreciation and glad you liked the game.

I am a complete noob when it comes to art and tried my best. However I completely agree to your points about the staircase. I myself got confused sometimes and hence added the popups which kinda looked off place now that I look at it.
Totally agree about the book thing, completely missed the audio cue/ or a cutscene to show that player got the time travel ability.

Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback and suggestions.

Hey, no problem! We all starts somewhere so dont get too harsh on yourself! You will gain more experience and learn from past mistakes as you participate in more game jams so I would suggest you to join more game jams whenever you are free to sharpen up your skills!

I am also a solo dev and am a complete beginner at drawing since im not really an artistic person so what i do is i just search whatever assets i need from the web (but remember to credits them accordingly!) and use them instead of creating myself. Mad respect that you are able to create the art on yourself tho!

Hope to see you in some other future game jam! 😉

First off, congrats on your first jam. Hopefully you were able to get some sleep lol.

This concept was really cool. I ended up finding a few of the endings, and it was also fun going back and experimenting with different combinations to see how things ripple forward. I also appreciated that you gave hints toward alternate endings after completing one. Really fun idea, especially for a first full demo project. Great job putting this together.

Hey NotTodayDio,

Thanks for playing my game. I am really glad you liked it.
I did had to stretch my self during the last couple days lol.

Glad you liked the hint mechanics. I intended to add a timed hint in the level itself but that was turning out to be too complex.

Thanks again!

This game is very cute. I love the idea of time travelling to solve problems. I thought the sprites were great. I only wish there were more puzzles (I found 4 endings, are there more?), and maybe that we could restart after picking up the book (instead of doing the intro cutscene each time).

Hey fourfortyfour,
Thanks so much for playing! I'm really glad you enjoyed the time-travel mechanics.

To answer your question, there are total 7 endings, out of which one is very secret, I guess that was a bad idea for a jam cause its kinda difficult to find!

Since this was my first game jam, I just ran out of time to add a skip button (you can skip it using space button btw), but it is at the top of my list for a future update (if there will be any).
Thanks again for the great feedback!
