The character art and voice dialogue is really impressive for a game jam, nice work.  The little barks of dialogue in response to my driving were nice and funny, although maybe needed a system to prevent repeats - I heard the one that starts "we're not teenagers" multiple times in a row (maybe I was going a little fast...).  I got to the zoo and saw an end screen but then it kept going, not sure if it was bugged or I was supposed to drive back.  Had fun driving though, almost landed a barrel roll at one point, good idea to add a reset button.

Thanks you for playing and congratulations on not getting swallowed by the void!

I think the assumption was that since we had a loooooooot of barks, a randomization system wouldn't be necessary. But you know what they say about assuming! It's one of those things that would definitely profit from another layer of polish but the development process was a bit too chaotic to allow for that in time.

Amazing void, I mean voice acting, and dialogue. Don't know much about in-car AC, but I felt I was a fool to try to fix it. Literally my first dialog and I fell through the floor. The car was weird at low speed, but good in the goldilocks zone.

To the shadow realm with you for trying to cheapen out on skilled labour!

Thank you for playing! I wish we could have worked a bit more on the car handling, but that fell to the wayside unfortunately.

It looks like a huge amount of work went into this — i can't believe any game jam games have voice acting!

I found the driving pretty fun. Unfortunately I too fell into the void after surrendering to the cops, but I'll try again!

Wow... VOICE ACTING!?! I liked the graphics!

I had some problems: The car rotation is too slow, and I did the route twice, and on both runs, when choosing to continue driving (one for the police, and the other for the gas station) the car simply appeared in the void and kept gaining velocity while falling with nothing to do.

Love the voice acting. Driving was cool too. I luckily made it to the end right as I ran out of fuel.

SIX SEV- shoot me

Understandable. The person responsible has been reprimanded, fired, rehired, then fired again. We have taken measures to make sure unfortunate decisions like this will not happen again in the future. In the meantime please accept our most humble apologies and this voucher for 5% off of your next purchase of GAMER MEALS! GAMER MEALS! I cannot believe it's protein! And fiber!

This is really cool! I like to see another person doing something with random choice-based events. The grandpa is by far my favorite character. I like how he always talks about why his daughter hasn't divorced you yet.

Real art and voice acting, lets go!!!! I love the art for this game, and the actual ingame art style reminded me of old Cartoon Network site games from the mid 2010s. The story and ending were hilarious, and the little bits of dialogue while driving were a really nice touch. I would love to see a button to reset the car or have a pause menu with a restart option since I tended to flip over sometimes and have to restart the game. Otherwise, I thought this was a delightful game that portrayed the theme in a really fun way! Great work!

Developer

Thank You! I think TAB should reset the car, no restart required. I'll have to check whether we have that in the control instructions on the page, or we'll have to reformat it to be a bit more legible.

hey, cool game very stylish, but after I took a doggy into my car I ended up in a limbo, doomed to fall for eternity, which would be fine if it were just me and my family, but I would never want a dog to end up in a limbo so I’m sad

Ohno, you shouldn't have picked up limbodog! See, you think you're just picking up a cute little puppy but it's instead a fiendish canine agent of purgatory!

Decisions have consequences, and YOU. CHOSE. POORLY!

Thanks for playing, I wish we had had a bit more time for bugfixing. Stuff like this seems to always slip through the cracks.

even with this information I couldn’t bring myself to leaving a puppy on the street.

yeah, tell me about it, I guess it has to be this way with jams, but the game is very charming nonetheless
