Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to look at the playthrough again in the future here's the VOD timestamped to your game
I really enjoyed this one.
The concept is cool and original, and the visuals are strong as well.
I was just wondering about the bonuses, I only seemed to get common ones. Not sure if that’s intended or if I was just unlucky.
The slide mechanic could maybe feel a bit more impactful, as it didn’t feel very satisfying to use.
Still, really cool overall! 💚
If you’re checking out other entries, feel free to try our game as well.
The luck is broken rn but congrats on the first place!!
Woah! This looks so neat! Great job!
Very cool art style, i like the grittiness, the fx and shaders … the momentum feels good. Great job!
really fun game, i've spent a good time trying to beat my friend's score of 10 min (spoiler : it didn't work)
great job!
The movement mechanics like in the CS bhop is just peak. It's so fun to just run in the map while escaping the enemies. The shop feels good, and gives a good progression to the game. Tbh the combat doesn't feel that important, because I got really good times just by running around the map and letting the thunders do its job. However, it's a pretty fun game. I'd recommend.
Great job guys!
Holy 8:55, i am very impressed.
The physics feel incredibly precise, and navigating the terrain is hypnotic. The visual identity is distinct, and the whole experience left me hooked. Nothing else to add. Absolute cinema. Good work!! :)
BEST MOVEMENT EVER! No, seriously, the movement was incredibly fun. I found the combat to be finicky, and I was able to survive for a decent amount of time by just running. I don't believe I actively engaged in combat once, and I still somehow killed 66 enemies (presumably through the cold aura thingy?). I was also unable to retry or submit my score since my mouse just disappeared after dying, but otherwise a really fun game. The movement is definitely the most fun aspect, and I'd love to see a more fleshed out version that leans into that a bit more.
Interesting how mouse disappeared but i will try to look into that issue. Thx
I really like the player's movements and the visuals but I think the beginning of a run is a bit difficult and annoying because we have a very long cooldown on the fireball. However, I had a lot of fun going around the map at full speed like in Shootmania xD.
Phenomenal game. I've played about 30 jams entry so far and this is the one I spent the most time on!
The movement feels super good. It is very challenging but very rewarding to get it right. You've made the enemies be quite difficult so it feels amazing to escape them.
The overall pace of the game is super well done too. You can feel yourself getting stronger (more projectiles feel very satisfying!) and the enemies getting harder, all within the span of a few minutes. The gameplay loop is very well polished and its amazing you managed to add a shop too. I got the buy a second-life and some upgrades and got a +4 minute run, it felt very satisfiyng!
Also kudos on such a great tutorial, it definitely helped me lol
I don't know if this was intentional, or if I was misplaying, but I felt like the dash sometimes would fail me. Basically I would go through an area, instead of landing on it, so I would fall and take damage. This was the only thing that felt "unfair" but again maybe I'm bad XD
Also I played quite a bit and only saw one rare powerup. Maybe that was the intention but it felt really good to find one! Would be cool to see them more often
But overall this was truly a fantastic game, if there was a category for "most complete/ready for Steam game" this would be my #1. I've had a really great time playing it, amazing work!
I loved the style and momentum based gameplay, it kinda reminds me of Dishonored with the sliding and blink/dash. My only complain is that it can be a litte disorienting at times but still a great game!
Incredible style, loved the low-FPS hands. Really effective in a game jam too, since that makes the art easier and is stylized in a cool way. Movement feels really good. Whichever player controller y'all found and tweaked, it ended up with something that feels great. Probs the best gameplay. Great job!
The art style is unique, the movement is very well done and the combat may make it a little overwhelming for players who aren't used to the genre but it's a worthy design risk.
A really fun game with an extremely well-designed and fluid movement system. The soundtrack is awesome too, and I'm really glad you included a tutorial to help new players understand the game better!
My only criticisms are that there isn't enough feedback for certain actions, e.g. damage taken, sliding, enemy killed, plus there were multiple instances of enemies following me right behind my back, so I had to purposefully take damage in order to gain enough momentum for an escape, so I guess I would've preferred enemies to emit a subtle audio queue based on how close they are to the player (similar to what Devil's Daggers did)
The dash mechanic was the only thing that I didn't actively enjoy. It felt too stiff, and again, there was not enough visual feedback. Blinking forward a short distance just didn't feel satisfying at all
Also a minor thing, but the cooldowns of abilities are a little hard to spot, the background blends with them a bit too hard
Do keep in mind that these are just my opinions and don't take them to heart! That's still an awesome game, and it's honestly insane that you guys pulled off this project in just 7 days!! :)
Art is so cool, love fast paced movement and upgrading system. Very cool idea and gameplay but my favorite things definitely are style and art. Overall great job :)
Not much of a fast paced gamer but absolutly loved the artstyle that reminded me of ENA BBQ and the energic music was the cherry on top of the cake.
The movement was fluid and satisfying.
Well done!
This is 1 of the most impressive game I ever seen! 10/10
