How does the game fit the theme?
The game fits the “Strange Places” theme through exploration of surreal, beautiful biomes that feel unfamiliar and slightly off, even if they look peaceful at first. Each area is designed to feel like somewhere you don’t fully understand, encouraging curiosity and quiet discovery as you move through them.

At the same time, the player isn’t told outright why they’re there. You simply explore these strange environments, interact with the world, and piece things together. Only later does it become clear that these journeys across odd, dreamlike places are part of something bigger, your actions are quietly helping restore the world without you even realizing it at first.

Default CONTROLS: Left + Right Click | WASD + Space

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We did not make the template for the base of the game, meaning: menus, rolling credits, settings.

We used maaacks game template for it.

How many people worked on the game?

I liked the visuals!

It is a beautiful looking game. I very much like the mechanic of inspiriting various animals, and being able to control some of them, while being just a passenger on others.
Based on some other comments, there may be more in the game than I could figure out?
Here is what I was able to do:
- The snail would go to the rabbit. I can control the rabbit and jump to the worm. The worm goes to another panel, and that's the end of that.
- The goat goes to the penguin, and that's all there is.
- The seal also goes to the rabbit.
I was not able to go anywhere else or do anything else.

Hi there!
thank you for trying the game

Yes many comments are similar, people say they are lost because its not clear where to go and I can only agree with that.
There are 3 levels. On level 1 you are meant to progress using the rabbit, by climbing one of the pillars  to the rigth. The terrain should reflect this but it does not at the moment

Red Caviar. I liked the mechanics of controlling different creatures.

The game looks amazing! Visuals look beautiful! It was a bit unclear sometimes where animals can go and where is a wall, maybe you can make it a bit more clear - but otherwise good job!:)

Amazing art and great idea for the game, but I have to agree with the other comments, it was very easy to get stuck, and it wasn't very clear on where to go. It also took me a little bit to understand how to switch between the animals. Otherwise, great idea and very good visuals.

Stunning art! I love the concept although it is a bit confusing how to traverse the map and the transitions between biomes. When you're controlling an animal it's hard to tell where the collisions are, that made me more observant of the background art which is beautiful and once I got it, it wasn't that hard, but definitely needs improvement both in collision placement and visual cues.

Nice gameplay idea. Not sure I made it out of the tutorial, really difficult to work out where to go.

The visuals were beautiful and I love the switching between characters. I'm sure that was tricky to do. I got stuck after some points cause I was confused where to go but I generally had fun and like the innovation. Nice work!

Good art style, but the gameplay needs refinement.  It's not clear whether you can control it or not, or when the animations stop. When you get to control an animal, it is really hard to distinguish a walkable surface and identify walls.

Mindblowing visuals well done

Really nice art. The game play was a little confusing. Sometimes it felt like the animals were possessed and not responding to any controls.

i love the style

The art of the game is REALLY good, it would have been perfect with a background and maybe some parallax.

Very good ambiance too.

The mechanic idea was good but the gameplay was a bit confusing, and during the platforming sections it was hard to know what was ground and what was not (with the snake especially).

The game is quite chill but I feel it isn't always clear where to go. Great concept though, it is very interesting.

Great looking visuals and atmosphere. I also agree with the other comment, sometimes it is not crystal clear that the animal has reached its destination. Interesting approach to the topic though!
