Aw man, making this with your kids is such a cool thing to do. The hand-drawn sprites gave it lots of charm. The title screen with the characters walking by was really fun to see too, made everything feel alive. Liked the little walk animations in-game as well.
The storybook theme is really wholesome approach to the theme. Jumping into different books as a world is just a great fun idea, especially for a family project. The turn-based combat is neat too, though I did run into a couple of moments where it felt a bit buggy. Nothing major, just figured I'd mention it in case you're polishing further.
This must have been such a fun project to make together. Really sweet entry.
