Very well done! The music really set in the vibe of the game and I loved the variety of backgrounds.

The mechanics are very simple, but you take that a long way with the very deliberate level design. Everything was well implemented. Very cool to include a leaderboard! The ability to vary the jump height felt good, and I think I even saw some Coyote time in there, which felt good too! The visuals, sound effects, and premise are all fun and lighthearted.
Well done!
Solid game, I can see that the levels are definately all hand crafted and playtested. Must've took a long time! Just from my own experiences, level building is much harder than it seems.
The leaderboard was also a very nice touch, adding some competitiveness.
Absolutely took a long time. Time-wise, I would say atleast a whole days worth per world, since there are 3 variations of the levels for each world. So 9 levels total. I even scrapped most of the disco stage levels once or twice and started over lol.
Super ecstatic that you appreciate the level design and noticed how much I play-tested them because yeah, it was a lot. Thanks for checking out the game, glad you enjoyed it :)
The visuals were really fun and I like the themes for each of the places. It was fun seeing what new things would come around and I'm just glad I got on the leaderboard haha
Love the visuals and audio of this game. The leader board was a super nice touch because it made it extra addictive to keep playing and see the number go up haha
Thanks so much for the kind words, and very happy you took notice of the levels.
The levels are handcrafted, and I made 9 of them (3 for each world). Originally, there was supposed to be 15 but making each stage took so long. Running it over and over again to make sure its balanced, and that the difficulty scales fairly, that I couldn't just squeeze them in :(. Also, my wife would have had to make 2 more backgrounds lolol
i really enjoyed how we're just doing this platformer for SOCKS. i probably didnt get really far but i really like the creativity of the levels and their backgrounds (which makes the theme very strange). the sounds are also satisfying. one thing i would change is to brighten/darken the backgrounds to make them slightly more readable. overall, i really like the concept and i also like the addition of the leaderboard system (it said i got #28 thats how bad i am XD)
This was amazing! Just seeing the title screen immediately made me wanna play, such a funny idea :)
I also really liked the vibe while running. Only thing I would recommend is somehow make the character / obstacles a bit more visible, maybe give it an outline or use a brighter colour palette for the background? The strange backgrounds (which were awesome, btw!) made it sometimes difficult to see everything clearly.
Great job on the polish, the game and jumping feels great. Love the art and nice music choices!
Extremely cool endless runner. I really liked the whole artstyle, but the my favourite has to be the backgrounds. It was really nice to see you include new obstacles when going through the same stages! Also, the leaderboard is such a simple, yet unique feature that you implemented (#8 right now LOL). Good work on the game, and good luck on the jam! :D
Crazy that such a simple platformer turned out to be easily one of the most fun games I played this jam. Really maximizes the fun available with such familiar mechanics through great music, a cohesive theme, and tight level design. I thought the pacing of levels was particularly good where each one felt long enough to be difficult but didn't get boring. The decision to run back through the same levels with added difficulty was also clever and kept me playing for even longer. Had to keep trying until I cracked top 5 on the leader board (at least for now). Awesome work
very nice gameplay! the art style is very nice, and I like the challenge and the leader board and the sense of competition it creates! especially in a game jam with a community!
Enjoyed this! The gameplay is simple and fun, but what I loved most is the leaderboard, letting everyone add their name makes it super engaging.
This is so great and addictive. Also, the visuals and music are so cool. My only complain is that data should automatically save to leaderboard without prompting user every time game fails. Also, if I complete a level, it does not load from the next level. btw it is a cool game.
Thanks for checking out and also glad you like the visuals and such.
I would of liked to squeeze in a level select or something for practice but didn't have time unfortunately :(. I just stuck to it being an endless runner and shooting for the highscore as the goal, so it starts from the beginning every time.
Appreciate the feedback, and the kind words :)
I love the music for it, and I could deff see my self in a flappy birds state with this <3
I'm not a fan of the genre, but I'll admit I had fun, I think the difficulty of the obstacles is very well paced for casual runners like me ; unlike other die and retry entries, going back to the start wasn't so frustrating (perhaps because the music you picked is groovy ! likely also because I could enjoy seeing that I passed the beginning more and more easily). For now I'll be satisfied with my highscore of 8300 ^^"
It is however a bit hard to enjoy the nice landscape while running ; I would advise putting more artistic effort into the foreground, where we actually need to focus our attention. I would also recommend picking significantly distinct colors for the background, it wasn't really an issue (well, not at all in the world with the black foreground), but it's a generally good rule for clarity. A difference in value/luminance is a wise choice since the colorblind will perceive it.
Thanks so much for the feedback. Yeah, agreed, more visual clarity is needed. And you make a good point about how the colorblind would perceive. I actually tried to push a patch to make the background a bit darker and add a thicker outline to the foreground object, but alas, I could no longer resubmit :( lol.
Thanks again for checking it out and super glad you enjoyed it despite not being a fan! :)
