Really lovely to look at and atmospheric :3

Extremely stylish! I'm surprised it was so short, I'd immediately immersed in it from the title screen, the aesthetic is wonderful. Having the actual mech view for the bg under the text was revelatory, I really like this presentation and what I feel like could be accomplished with it, wow.

this was the second entry i played calling itself mechsploitation so i went to find out what that actually is and read the original fic and now i feel like i have to lie down, but that isn't really anything to do with this game, but i do still want to lie down.  uhhh very cool aesthetic

Thanks for giving it a play! XD

I'm a big WARHOUND fan for sure.

I like the worldbuilding style a lot! It's cool to see a visual novel with a moving 3D background, it's rare and really neat! The punctual text display, portrait framing, limited color palette, and music set a really wonderful atmosphere. A very intriguing teaser!

Oh, such a delicious little morsel.

“I wake up to the taste of metal and rage” is the hardest opening in the jam.

One of the entries for this jam I am the saddest isn’t an experience I can spend more time with. The world building doesn’t hold your hand and trusts that you’ll be able to keep up with what it’s throwing - that doesn’t always work, but it really does here. I love the shaders you used for the main game, I’m so curious how you achieved that effect! The reveal of the muzzle and the dog-like tendencies of the main character is really alluring, and the fact standing up changes the frame? Amazing.
And boy - that “heel” hits like a truck after you build up the atmosphere you do.

Wish there was even just a touch more variation in the dialogue options; I was sad on a replay that all roads lead to the same ending. The profile image for “Her” also does the job, but the straight on profile seems like a weaker choice compared to the protagonist’s own. Also agree the ending cut to the menu is a touch too fast.

Considering this is but a meager slice of the larger project you were wanting to do, I’m both sad we didn’t get to see that, but also so thankful you submitted this - it really vibes with me!

I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I only had a few days to work on it, but I learned a lot that will serve me in the future! I love the mechsploitation genre and want to do more with it in the future!

This looked and felt good in the weirdest ways. The music was perfect and the forebodding sensation that creeps through the writing is really good. I always felt like I was about to make a mistake, which is a really good take on pup headspace and worked super well with mechsploitation (we have like three of them in the jam and all in different flavours, it's great).
The ending cut to menu was a bit too abrupt but the final moving shot was super good. The vignette is excellent.

Solid narrative microgame! Really loved the subtlety of the writing, and the entire visual aesthetic. Also the music is a PERFECT fit and does an amazing job of setting the tone.

It's shame the game is such a short tease. The style, the premise, the writing, and the air of mystery had me engrossed. I honestly thought I hit a bug when it ended so suddenly.

I like the vibe, hope to see more of this!

I liked the aesthetics a lot, I would love to see more of the world.
The writing was good and to the point.
Good job.

Now that's MY kink! I know you said it's supposed to be short, but I really wanted to see more of it. Really hope you continue this story after the jam

I really want to do more. Initially I wanted to make an idle game that looks like armored core but I only had a couple of days to work on it.

I definitely want to do more mechsploitation games so this is more of a proof of concept than anything else. I know how to set up dialogue and connect it to the environment, trigger animation, etc.

I’m super glad I kink sniped someone! XD

I really enjoyed this! I love the use of camera movement to make the feeling of being in a hostile battlefield really immediate, and the set up for this story, with an amnesiac pilot who knows that something is wrong, but who has no context, and a myssterious dom handler is really interesting. I'm curious to see what direction you will take this project in!

Oh, this was neat! It was short, but that's not a bad thing. Some unanswered questions, but also not a bad thing. Maybe for a continuation of some kind?

I'm a complete sucker for dithering so this game's visuals absolutely fuck!

Developer(+1)

thank you so much! I only had a few days to work on it so I didn’t have time to do an entire story, just a single scene. But it let me learn a bunch of new tools so now I can make the thing I had in mind when I have time.
