An interesting little game.
I didn't really understand the mechanics, even though there was a tutorial screen. I don't know what the energy/lightning in the bottom corner, the lucky clover or the fish score in the top right was about. I gathered that successfully getting the fish increased the hunger score in the top left, but that was about it. The sound effects and music were well implemented.
I played on a desktop in full screen, and there was a skybox around the edges of the designed aspect ratio. It would be better if it was all black or otherwise screened.
Thank you for playing.
- The screen is mobile size. Yes, I didn't have time to replace the default skybox with something more fitting.
- There will be an improved UI and tutorial and explanation.
Silly goober game! I love it!
Happy that you enjoyed it--that's what it's all about!
I really enjoyed this game!
Happy you enjoyed it!
The game mechanics aren't obvious. But I figured it out after a few minutes. It's a not bad clicker.
Thank you for playing, and I will make it more obvious what the player needs to do.
I enjoyed how simple the game is, I like how random things get fished out.
Is there a way to win, or is it supposed to be endless, until you fail? I got to a point where there was nothing to fish and I could only wait until the player character starved. Don't know if that was meant to happen or if it's a bug.
Overall, a fun and relaxing game, which fits the theme nicely and is very creative.
Very nice, I liked the introduction of the toilet part way through that was very funny. I guess if the game is going on for a very long time it needs a large number of potential fish to catch so the player gets that ocassional excitement of seeing a new fish to keep them engaged.
Glad you liked the JUNK. Yes, there will be a lot more fish and things you can fish up, hopefully all with their unique animations and sounds.
I guess I must be stupid because I just spam clicked without really understanding how to play, and it seems to work xD. Anyway good job !
This "exploit" (that sounds so much better than "bug") will be fixed--in the meantime, enjoy!
Fun little game! The controls are simple, though the timing feels a bit off sometimes. It also seems like spamming the reward makes the fish go out of bounds :D Nice work overall!
Yes and yes, both are now known issues that only other people could find! Thanks for playing!

This is a neat fishing game, nice and simple to play!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
I like survival fishing games:) I caught many other things besides fish. Unfortunately, the fish went off-screen and I starved to death, but it was fun XD
It seems that happens when you are fishing too eagerly and the fish get frightened out of their screen space.
Cool game! I love the sort of survive aspect of it! Nice work
Thank you. Fishing on its own was just too...peaceful?
Nice work! I love a fishing game.
Thank you...so do I.
Trivial tidbit: My only Lvl 90 Character in FF14 is a Fisher.
Couldn't really reliable get the fish timing to work, so ended up just spamming click which sometimes spammed through the rewards too (which you can get multiple times it seems if you click a lot?). I do appreciate when people try to innovate on the fishing minigame and think this is a neat idea! I love the idea of a fishing minigame roguelike!
It definitely needs fine tuning on both your points. I did come up with a solution, but after the deadline.
Fun concept and good execution overall! Like it!
Thank you!
Neat little game, I liked the fish models, they look very nice! Thinking about choosing three things, maybe in the future you will turn this game into fishing roguelike, would be interesting concept :D. Good work!
There were supposed to be more cards and more strange things to fish up with all sorts of delirious effects. Alas...time.
Nice concept overall.
I felt there might be a bit of inconsistency in the timing when clicking to catch the fish, but that could probably be refined. With a bit more polish, it could feel even better.
Good job!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on our game as well if you get the chance.
Yeah, there is an exploit for rapid clickers. It will be removed in a future patch.
It seemed like the input didn't work sometimes when the fish was moving despite being in the right place. The game as a whole was simple and satisfying. It was fun to see the random stuff you catch.
Yes, there is some required refinement--collisions can be finicky. It irked me and time was pressing.
I like the one-button/one-click concept at the core here! Picking upgrades with one click is a clever UI/UX choice. I felt like I got a handle on the pros/cons of different choices as I played, but the one thing I wasn't sure about was the timing of the click on the bobber. Should I hold? Tap a bunch? Just once?
That being said, this is a nice concept and that little bit of visual feedback would help a bunch if you continue working on it. I had a good time--nice job!!
Thank you. I now realize that I should make the gray target zone on the bobber stand out better for players to understand that the fish nose has to be in the gray stripe to catch the fish.
There are some good bones here, but the game could definitely use a bit of polish and some clearer direction. I was having trouble determining when I needed to click to catch the fish. Eventually, spamming click became the best option, but this causes a lot of buggy behavior after catching the fish...
I like the basic concept though. With a bit more work, this could be something special!
This is a clear case where user testing (by you kind folks) is showing that what is obvious to me is not obvious to the players. I did test the game with a few folks and I wonder how this didn't show up as an issue. I'll surely fix it!
The one-click rhythm for this game is easy to get into, and I can definitely see this being a good little mobile time-killer. The up-and-down bobber timing feels clean, and the SFX are pretty satisfying when you land it. The choices between the satiety or fish choice give it a good progression loop and have a nice cozy just-one-more-catch energy. Catching random stuff like a snake (or a toilet) was a fun surprise lol. Simple idea done well. I could see this doing well on mobile for sure.
Thank you for the encouraging comments!
