i don't feel like i understood anything that happened here haha.  i made money and returned unsold products, but still had the products the next time.  spacebar when arranging the table seems to give me unlimited debug items that then disappear when the selling starts.  my space is limited by my car, but i got a bag that increases that space somehow, but then i had the same amount of space.  twice i was approached by shibari dog but the rope never appeared in the shop.  and then when i bought a large con ticket the game appears to have just broken; it still renders but it doesn't respond to anything.

it's a cute idea though, and the wandering models are great, and as someone who has assisted with selling at cons in the past i definitely felt my real life stress rise just reading the intro

Played for a bit, not really sure what was going on. There's not much feedback with what the NPCS are doing, and the reward money just doesn't make sense. (I bought 1 handcuff, apparently made 500$ and still got 77$ of unsold inventory, which is more than the cuffs cost in the first place)

I'll try listing some issues I ran into, hopefully they'll be of help?:

Handcuffs was misspelled Hnadcuffs

Buy buttons on products overlapped with the price (Might be due to my overly large screen resolution messing with the scale of things.)

Unsold inventory seems to just stay until next time? I don't really understand how the storage works

Going back to menu and clicking "New game" again plays the intro, but doesn't reset progress

Rest adds 3 days to the counter?

Would love to see some improved controls to make placing/buying large amounts of items easier (Basically just supporting scroll wheel on menus, and click and drag for placement instead of the arrows).

The character models are lovely. All the con goers are very unique and full of personality, and the end scenes are a lot of fun. I especially like the random cat chanting one, silly scenes like that are a joy.

I like the concept! Placing stuff for sale is a neat mechanic, I feel like you can do a lot with it if you expand the game like having products that block view of each other or those that synergize by being next to each other. Being able to just drag the items into position or reuse previous setups would speed things up a lot. The character models are really lovely, each one's got a lot of distinct charm! Something that's not too clear is what happens in the sale section, the first time I was waiting the characters to buy something, but it seems that it's more of a cosmetic feature at the moment. The events add some fun variety between different days, they're a really nice bit of spice!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Glad you liked it. We hope to add more to make it less of cosmetic. WE already got some wonderful suggestions that we are excited to try out.

This one was interesting to me because in some ways is similar to what I tried to do in my submission, but you went in a very different direction with yours (and just straight up made a more complete game than I did lol)

The most impressive part imo were the 3d npcs walking around, but it wasn't super clear if they were buying my stuff or not. I did also really enjoy the little narrative segments in between cons. They add a lot of character and are just the right length to not distract from the main gameplay.

Developer

Yeah, we plan to add a lot more feedback and features to selling scene to help with that. We had a few ideas but we were able to finish it in time for the jam. We hope to add those features in the next build tho.

Gotta say, was not expecting the experience of standing behind a table full of merch watching con-goers stop to look and not buy anything to feel so... accurate!

(I assume. I've never sold merch at a con myself, but I'm guessing this is what it feels like)

Anyway I was terrible at the vendor tycoon parts of the game, but I did really enjoy setting up the merch and people-watching all the NPCs, and the writing for the interstitial sequences was really quite charming!

Developer

I legit laughed when the npcs started to block each other and I swear I've seen that happen in real life when I sold merch at a con. But yes that does happen a lot. If we had more time, we wanted to add some feedback to characters interacting with emotes. But we ran out of time. Thank you for playing, we hope to address this problem in a post con update.

Real cute game! As a long time con goer, it’s quite fun to do things from the vendor side for once. The NPC designs were super cute and the animations delightful, and the little written sequences were very charming.

The actual gameplay loop was a bit obtuse - there wasn’t enough feedback on what was selling to figure out if I should be buying minimal inventory or maxxing out all storage, and whether diversifying or commiting to one or two types of product was better. The storage system was also a little confusing - both only having so much room in your car, but also being able to pick up stored stock from the post office seemed a bit obtuse. It also seems like you can spend more on stock than you can actually bring currently. The stress mechanic also feels a bit difficult to quantify; my first run was doing two cons, realising I was at 110% stress, and then sleeping until deadline lmao.

Placing down the stock was really fun, though doing it one at a time feels tedious in a bad way. A “place all” or a mouse drag and drop would have gone a long way. Despite playing the fixed version I also go a bug that when starting a new game, when getting to the place items part it would seemingly have lost all my product!

This is the sort of game where I want to nitpick it because I know I could spend aaaaaages lost in a finished product; I’d love to see it if you end up expanding this concept!

Thank you for playing! We plan on doing at least one post jam update. I hope to take in any advice/ bugs that people find and fix that up.

I find the gameplay a little unclear [that may be a skill issue] but i love the little intermission written segments.

Developer

Noted! I'll see what I can do. I'll do a proper tutorial in the post jam update.

This was cute! Many bugs but the idea is quite nice, I liked the premise of going to sell at cons and the dream of making actual money from them (sigh, /j).
Besides bug fixes it would be cool for quality of life if your stand setup could be saved between runs and then modifiable, and/or to have the auto drop move to the next available slot rather than stay on the same bottom corner.

Art-wise, I found the props funny and the NPCs were super cute and varied and fluffy! The writing was tedious at times since I lacked vision on why I was reading these passages, but it helped build the world.

The experience and game loop is really fun.
I found the somewhat broken AI charming and chaotic like in real cons.
I found a bug where I got softlocked and starting a new game did't helped (playing without the fixes).
It happend while menu exploring in "my room".
Yet the experience was fun and charming until that point.

Cool idea and setting, the gameplay is simple enough to understand. The NPCs' AIs are a bit buggy when walking around your stand, so I wasn't sure if I did something right or not. But I think this could be a neat game for the future, if you decide on continuing working on it.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, we didn't have the time to polish up the NPC's AI. We hope to fix that after with a post jam update.

Ok, so this game looks really fun, unfortunately after the third day it softlocked for me and couldn't continue, I can totally see the vision tough.

Developer

I asked the discord and they said I can fix bugs like that.  So I uploaded a one time jam fix for anyone who wants to finish the game. Thank you for trying it out!

I can see the vision, gud job on the game, it might have quite a few bugs, but the content is pretty nice.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! It was a lot of work. We hope to make a post jam update fixing those bugs and adding more content.

Bugs In the game: Close button doesnt work. Use Alt+Shift+Delete to close or turn off full screen window in settings

The game says 90 days but you have 30 days.

Saving doesn't work. Leaving the game will reset the data!

Bad ending doesn't trigger. Only the good ending. Woo!
