not looking for a team or anything (: just wanted to reach out to the community and see who else is hitting this solo. May your scope be small!! Good luck guys!

cool!!! Nice to meet ya I’m excited to see what you’ve got once the jam is done!

yep! you too! ^_^

bro engine choice  and game scope balancing is killing me rn while waiting for the topic lmao

i know dude. I’m just going plain ol’ Unity this time around, but I wanna use some Godot in the future. Remember to cut whatever you want to do in like 1/3. It’s way easier to scope up than scope down once the project is started.

thanks lad, gl with ur game!

I've been basically solo for all 12 of my 13 jams so far. This one has a 30 day timeframe so I'll be able to scope out pretty big as I have a lot of time on my hands.  Here's my last solo 30 day project for a previous jam.  I'm pretty hyped about this theme, I will probably do a three JS 3d Platformer (HTML, with Three JS) but not totally sure.

That’s awesome! Do you feel like you’ve learned a lot through these jams? I didn’t even think about a game in JS. I’m excited to see what you’ve got

Yep! Will be my third solo in a row lmao

I gotta go check out what you’ve done in the past! Good luck!

Same to you! The last two were a two day and 1 week jam (both last month), so hopefully I can make something a bit better with a months time. Definitely taking a break after this one though lmao.

New solo dev here! This will be my first game jam and the first time using Godot to make a full game, any one have tips? I'm going to make a 2d game using pixel art :D

I’m in the same boat LOL, so I wish you luck!

I have made one other game for a game jam, but I attempted to make another one way before that. It failed because I tried to submit it on the deadline and due to errors with memory, it wouldn't work. My biggest piece of advice is to check that your game works on itch.io every once in a while to see if there are any major bugs. Also, write out before you start what you want to add to the game, so you can scope out a rough 'schedule' and make sure that you can achieve everything in a month. One last piece of advice: if all else fails and the game can't be submitted (worst case scenario, I know) continue to work on the game if you have time, and maybe you can publish it yourself on your own time.

Thanks! I'll take this into consideration when making my game :D

I'm going solo as well, 3rd game jam so far. I'm hoping to cook up a speed game similar to Pizza Tower or Ultrakill.

Yep! Hope it becomes good!(And good luck to all the ones who try!)

Also a solo dev! First time actually doing something meaningful with Godot, so I've been fumbling around with the nodes. Good luck to me, I guess!
