This is an improvisational recording on a single synth, and has a ways to go before it would feel like a Pokémon battle theme. A sense of rhythm is most useful toward that end, so adding some percussive sounds, along with a moving bassline that differentiates itself from the melody, would be some ideas.
this isn’t much of a tune, sounds like you just put a bunch of random notes and don’t spend much time actually creating something. If it’s a problem with your knowledge, spend some time looking up the basic of making music and try to start from there
This seems like the beginning of an idea but it's more of an extended jingle or interlude as it is. It definitely needs development. At least there's something to develop though!
Interesting idea! The dissonance together with the variable pacing definitely gives a sense of tension and unpredictability. I think typically Pokemon music tends to be a bit more constrained. As others have said I think a beat of some sort would elevate this to the next level. I appreciate you putting forward an interesting melodic idea like this!
It reminds me of the early Gym themes! It has a very interesting foundation. I would like to hear it with drums or guitar added to it. As others have also commented, it would be even better if it were longer.
either way its sound good :D
This sounds (and looks) as if random notes where placed into the piano roll (though the first few notes sound cool). I suggest adding drums or some chords, and you should quantize it or line the notes up with the vertical guidelines if your app doesn't have a quantize feature. you should also lengthen the song (it's 23 seconds, there's a minimum of 30 for the jam!).
ok i should i work on that one of these days
I think an addition of some sort of drum layer would really aid this track. I think the notes alone don't give it a sense of fast paced, but adding some sort of constant pulse would really help it feel that way! I'm also curious of how it would sound if you keep the notes the same and add the pulse. Might give it a more lop-sided feel where the melody clashes with the beat, maybe giving it a more "lopsided" feel.
I think there is a good idea here, it just needs to reach it's potential. For starters, the rhythm should be quantized with the vertical lines on your note grid to give the track more clarity. Adding drums here would be really beneficial here as well. Also, I don't know how familiar with BandLab you are, but if it gives you any trouble there are a lot of great free alternatives such as BeepBox or MuseScore (The latter is a bit of a learning curve if you're not familiar with instrumental music but it's very intuitive). I think a concise rhythm and drums would make this track pretty sweet!
Song is too short, not in tempo, barely anything going on except for the random notes. Try using a metronome for help!
