Description
It imitates the style of "Wifi connection" from Pokemon Diamond & Pearl by using a soundfont of the game and also the same rythm and vibe.

Strong Wifi connection vibes! I loved that walking bass! And I loved the melody getting passed around to different voices. Great work!
This is a fun little tune that I could totally see playing in a menu or options screen! When the melody switches away from the piano and drops down, it is harder to make out, I think because the bass jumps up at the same time and those lower-mid pitches get a bit crowded. Good job!
I really enjoyed this one. It's very original and has a beach aesthetic in my opinion. I don't think your song needs any change. It's pretty much perfect in my opinion.
Good work!
I like this one, I like the 16-bit style you went with this was nice :)
This is very Nintendo. I like the bounce and groove of it and the whimsical melody. The mix is very murky though and could use some cleaning up for the sake of clarity and to really accentuate the colourful and cheerful vibe you have going on under there.
This song sounds so nintendo coded. I could see this in any of their handheld games as a conversation/waiting tune.
Cool vibe track! I agree with everything Forsaken said, especially on the mix. I think it would also be cool to have a counter melody of some sort above the main melody (I know that isn't in the original track, but I feel that even adding it on the loop would keep it fresh). Awesome track!
Thanks for the feedback! ^_^ Yeah it definitely can be loopy without a counter melody lol and with the mix it could've sounded better if I didn't use an soundfont of an older pokemon game (also depends on how well the person ripped the sounds from the game too for the soundfont for sound quality of the instruments) but I do agree!
I was bouncing my head the whole time, this has a nice sense of groove. The syncopation is so fun. I listened to the song you said it was inspired by, I definitely see the resemblance, but you did a good job of making it sound distinct enough to stand on its own via instrumentation and form. I think my only complaint is audio balance, during the B section, what sounds like a kick drum comes in on the weak beats, I think it sounds too muddy with bass and chords. It also sounds a little crunchy, I'd personally prefer a cleaner kick that doesn't have the small crackling in the sound. I also think the melody could be more prominent in the mix, the bass is a little overpowering. All in all though, this is a very enjoyable track!
Thanks for the feedback! ^_^ Yeah you can blame the soundfont for the muddy kick drum with the crackling, I used the same exact soundfont of the game the song I imitated the style of is from and the game is an older pokemon game so it's not going to have the cleanest sound in the world lol I also purposely made the bass overpowering because that's how the bass in the imitated song is too because the bass acted pretty much as the main melody in the imitated song with the chords acting as a background compliment that comes together as one, so I just imitated the style and did the same even though I feel like my bass line doesn't have much of a melody to it like the imitated song does.
I do want to mention that you were supposed to make an original piece. Motifs used every now and then are okay, but nearly remaking a track wasn’t the idea - rules are rules.
huh? This is an original track and this isn’t a remake of the original song I was trying to imitate? Have you even listened to the song I was trying to imitate lol?
I did give it a listen and they sounded very similar. It must be the soundfonts in that case, my apologies.
Real good stuff, I dig this big time. Only complaint I have is that the lead doesn’t really vary or has something to accompany it. I really wish this was longer, I’d play it on repeat for sure! :DDD
Thanks for the feedback ^_^ Yeah in the song I was trying to imitate “WiFi Connection” it doesn’t have much variation either or as long which is probably why it came out like this since that’s what I was ear listening to like hearing what instruments they used and how long each segment was. I tried to find some other instrument to accompany it too but the soundfont just didn’t have anything that sounded good with it for me lol.
