Doing the Rain World procedural animation thing is so bold for a game jam. I love it so much...

Like the ambiance ! The reload on the neck of the player is a very cool idea (Dead Space reference ?).
Nice one, i really liked the lighting reload showcase on the creature's neck and the creature itself looked kinda unique like an ostrich a little , and you did a really good job with its sprite animations it was really cool.. Great work!!
Haha, I had no time to draw a character, all did with sprites and GradientTexture2D. Legs are simple lines with procedural/step animation. But yea looks like ostrich, I had idea to put head in the ground to ignore enemies, but no time to implement this and sounds too silly😂 Thanks for your feedback! Ill update some things after jam also :)
This is a really good start to start to a game that I would not mind keep playing. The shoot light through environment worked so well and that visual along with the movement of the character was done very well. The extra ending - please stop ok here's a heart- I loved! Nice work!
Hoaw, I love the creature movements so cool! The game has a lot potential fr.
Wow, I love the "flow" of the movement! And the game just feels nice overall.
Cool concept. Don't apologies, it was a proper ending, we still see the potential, game jams are not easy. Sometimes the 'neck' did weird things, it was fun to see. Great job!
I actually really like this, its a very cool idea. I would love to see this more fleshed out if you ever continue on it. Totally get it, I wasnt able to work on my game either until like saturday. But i like it, its unique and you did a good job!
I'm probably missing something because I'm stuck in the starting area. I can't jump high enough to go left, and if I go right there are some steps, a roof and nothing more, I jump out the window and I fall back to where I started. The mechanic is nice, but a bit exasperating, I'm not a fan of being in the dark as a gameplay mechanic, but I can't deny is somewhat original (not the first one to use it, but very few games do). The creature animation is crazy, well done there.
If I could have more instructions on how to pass the initial area, that would be nice. Thanks.
Hey WiredPixels, sad to hear that you we’re stuck, my level design experience sucks. But in that room with windows you can jump to the right side. Probably parkour is bad implemented also. Anyway you have not lost anything by closing the game, because level will ends after 15 seconds when you enter to the right side. Unfortunately I have no time to implement all the features what I wished for this game, joined lately to the jam. Not sure that I will finish anything here, game is raw, too raw. Thank you for your time playing this prototype.
Ok, now I got it, I didn't know there was a passage to the right of the roof. I reached the heart.
And look, I don't want to be "that guy" that points out stuff nobody wants to hear, but I don't think you're supposed to keep improving your game during the voting period, so be careful there. You're supposed to keep it the way it is from the moment the submission period ended and the voting started.
Still, thanks for modifying it, it's much more clear now!
