Description
The main idea behind this track was to capture the feeling of walking through a quiet, snowy route in a Pokémon game. Those moments in the games always felt very calm and reflective to me, especially when the music becomes softer and more atmospheric compared to the rest of the soundtrack. I wanted the piece to feel like a peaceful pause in the journey

While this is simpler than some of the other submissions, that doesn't stop it from setting the atmosphere. I can hear the wintry vibe - I could also imagine this being the music of an icy cave you are exploring. The way the progression never fully resolves gives it a sense of wonder, and the tempo change at the end was a nice touch.

Nice interpretation of a winter route theme. The mix is simple and sounds pleasant but maybe could use a contrasting section in the song, or a section with a few more layers of instruments added on to give it some variety. One other thing that stuck out to me is the resolution of some of the chords. The arpeggio at 0:22 would be a great turnaround to go back to your root note, and same with the one starting at 0:40 but instead the chord progression continued so it felt a little dissatisfying to listen to. I think you have a solid foundation for a track here though, but just needs some more structure work. Overall the style is still very fitting and nice job!
Very good and definitely gives me the impression of a snow/ice area. A more percussive sound might have been better for the arpeggio to more accurately give the impression of falling snow, I think. A subtle introduction of another instrument later in the song could give more variation without detracting from that calm and reflective feel you're going for.

that’s an interesting idea. Maybe later I’ll give it a try.
The arpeggio going gives it a very marchy kinda feel which I think is good for a route theme. I would have liked to have heard some percussion in the theme, but overall it sounds great!

Very effective at that reflective style you were going for, very nice! I think what the track needs it maybe another instrument taking the melody at some point to break the piece up into identifiable parts. The melody here is great, but as of now everything in the piece sort of blends together. I think just adding a different instrument for one of the sections or possibly adding some chill drums towards the middle would go a long way here. The tempo slowing down at the end was a nice touch, I was a fan. It further adds to the feeling of quiet that these type of tracks excel in. Well done!

To be completely honest, when I recorded those two instruments I didn’t feel the need to add more. It’s true that the track becomes a bit homogeneous, but I can see myself just looping this song and zoning out.
Also, I didn’t really know what else to add hehe. I feel like a percussive instrument is the only thing that’s missing, but I think it might have been too disruptive. Maybe some chords could have helped.
Either way, I’m still learning to compose music. This small project is a stepping stone, and I hope to gain more experience and skills in these types of jams. Thanks again for the comment! :D
