I really like the design of your game such a cute thing! Great job :)

First of all, congrats on your first game! It's a cute little one. I really like the design of the player character. I struggled a lot with the collisions, getting my cute tiny feet stuck in the clouds. For a platformer, the camera should have a wider FOV, so I can see where to jump or fall. Also, a nice touch would be to  be able to look further down, which is not very complicated to implement, I think. Here's a basic idea of how you could do it:

if is_on_floor() and Input.is_action_pressed("your_down_key"):
    var tween = create_tween()
    tween.tween_property(your_camera2D, "offset.y", 50, 0.5) #Get your camera reference from the node tree
elif is_on_floor() and Input.is_action_just_released("your_down_key"):
    var tween = create_tween()
    tween.tween_property(your_camera2D, "offset.y", 0, 0.5)

Of course it's just a tiny suggestion, but I think it makes platformer games much more enjoyable. Haha.
Keep up the good work! See you in the next phase! 😊😊

the camera is too zoomed in, but everything else is pretty cool. nice art!

The atmosphere is so comforting.  I love how the goal given by Moon Mom made the coin collecting mechanic feel really meaningful. The moon platform ebbing in and out was so cute.

Excited to see how this game will grow!

Great job on your first jam! Enjoyed this little game, stick with it,very promising for a first game!

I think that for a first time jam this is a very valid entry! Pretty art, straightforward gameplay, only the movements could be improved, I think. I found that I couldn't run first and jump a moment later? Overall wonderful job, keep at it! 👍

This was such a cute game! The visuals are truly beautiful, and it spoke to my soul in some way. I love the theme!

The gameplay was just a bit rough, I would fall into the void when jumping on some clouds, although it did look like I made the jump. Also, I had to scale my browser screen bigger to be able to see a bit more of the path ahead. Not sure if that's an itch.io issue or the resolution picked?

Anyways, it clearly has the potential to be an awesome game, and I can't wait to try to again for the final release!

I love this it's so cute and soothing and I love the sound the stars make when you pick them up. Love the colors and character and as someone else that is also just learning I'm hella impressed by this being your first game. Echoing some of the feedback from others that I think it would be helpful for the viewport to be a little bigger so you can see further ahead before jumping to your doom lol, and maybe a counter or something to see how many stars you've collected would be kind of nice to have as well. I think the broader view would help with some of the difficulty. I also think one of the earlier clouds might have a glitch because I fell through it when I don't think I was supposed to but could also have just been me.

Beautiful graphics! Amazing work.

I love the concept. The gameplay is a bit hard and unforgiving. Any small mistake and you plunge into the abyss! xD

Pijinguy mentioned 'coyote time' below. Basically there's a hundred tricks platformer games use to make the game feel better for the player. Coyote time is one of those tricks. Can be quite hard to add. I reckon if you make the level a little more forgiving and add an ending you've got a great little game here.

First off i love love love the character design, it’s adorable and the yellow outfit really just helps make her POP from the pink and purple background/clouds! I’m not sure if it was an issue on my end but i felt like this would benefit from a full screen view or just a more zoomed out view, i struggled to read the text at the beginning without jumping off the map to get a better look haha but thats not a big deal! I see this is your first game and its honestly impressive you completed all this wonderful art on top of learning godot in just a short amount of time! i look forward to seeing what changes you may make during phase 2! keep up the good work!

the art is incredibly cute, maman and mom are awesome looking. this game could be a great chill platformer but it currently has some issues, first, the camera is way too zoomed in, i can barely tell what's ahead if at all. second, some of the stars (or at least one) is impossible to obtain, because you fall to your death right afterwards. finally, jumping a lot of the times, does not register, i think its because you can only jump when on ground, and since the clouds are weird in geometry, a lot of the time, you are in the air without feeling like it, so, just add some coyote time please, it would be wonderful. there is a great fun game here held back by major but small issues, i just hope you are able to get there and reach that potential.

Thank you so much for playing!

That did not cross my mind at all. You are right, it's better for the player to see at least a little far ahead. I think I forgot to change the star location (there used to be a platform there that I deleted), completely my bad!

I ran into the jump issue too, and I thought the problem was my keyboard- so I'm relieved (and sad) that it's not just me. That explanation makes a lot of sense. Thank you for telling me! I would not have figured it out myself (new to coding).  What is "coyote time"?

A big thank you for playing and for taking the time to write this feedback for me; I really appreciate it. I'm gonna work on these issues!

so coyote time allows players to jump for a brief period of time even after they've walked off a platform. so a little bit of a grace period after stepping off of ground where you can still jump even though you are in the air. should be short, but even then, it helps a lot.

oh I see!! Thank you for explaining, I'll look up how to do it for godot

Part of the issue of how much you can see seems to be about the games size on the screen since you can kind of zoom out the game by zooming in the web page on itch so your game might look different in the browser than when you test it in godot, maybe that can be adjusted by the viewport size on the itch page, although I'm not sure about that since I also had some troubles with that. I think all the settings that affect the size are the window settings in your project settings then some are in the export settings and then the viewport size on itch, try playing around with those.

I love the art and for a first attempt it's pretty this is a pretty good game already.
