How does your game fit the theme?
The whole game is choice-based. Based on the choices you make, you'll get a different ending, but no matter what, you can't save everyone.

If only I managed my time better I would have added a few features that I wanted to include. I'll probably write about that on the devlog.

I really liked it! The game makes great use of narrative and pixel art to create an engaging and functional experience. Even with its short duration, the player's choices carry real weight in how the story unfolds
Thank you for playing! I appreciate the comment.
This was really really well done. It's a simple text based adventure game but I don't think something needs to be complex to be engaging. The pixel art is beautiful, and I was thoroughly hooked the entire time to see where my story would end up leading. (My ending was starting a new life after my kingdom lost the battle). This was a pleasure to play from start to finish. I think maybe having a replay button after the game is over would be a nice touch, and the theme isn't super relevant to the game overall but I really liked this game, great job!
Thank you so much for playing and the feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed the graphics and the story 🫰
This is a really great game! The graphics, the narrative, the sounds were perfect. The little hand as the cursor was also cute and it gave the game a really nice touch. Good job!
Thank you for playing! I’m really glad you enjoyed the game.
Very nice jam game! The music is epic, and the execution is very clean and well done. The design is good. The interface is perfectly clear and legible. I enjoyed the adventure a lot!
For improvement ideas:
1. Would be nice to know some of the differences between some of the choices. For some, it wasn't clear to the player (though it is to the hero) how big a difference they might make (like how much further is the long-route to the castle? how much more dangerous is the path)?
2. Some of the choices were too unclear to think through at all (Hope vs Future, etc)
3. Would be nice to have a Replay button at the end to try again
4. Gameplay is longer than 4 minutes for players
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! There are moments in the game where both, left and right choice, end up in the same story node and I didn’t really know how to do it, so I made the choices seem similar (or confusing, seems like 😅) so the ‘real’ choice is not major, like choosing between two important choices.
Seeing as the game has some sort of replay-ability thanks to many endings, it should have a replay button indeed, good catch.
Thanks again for playing!

I like some narrative in jam games. Playing this I had a bit of a feeling, that you hoped for the theme to be "two buttons" :)
The game looked good. The style is consistent, even down to the font used in the dialogue. I sometimes had a feeling that there was an element missing though. Like in a scene, where you try to plant a bomb in that tent you are talking to a soldier, but there are only boxes and chests.
The sound was good too, but it would be nice to have some more. Maybe some ambient forest sounds in the ending with "new life", or battle sounds when the battle rages on.
Having the main character be a medic fit the theme perfectly. The plot however could hold on to the theme a bit tighter. I know, I'm spying to help my army (and thus, save them), but it doesn't feel as "front and center" as it could.
Over all- I appreciate a game with a good story! Keep it up!
Thank you so much for the feedback! It’s true that the game could use many more events with different scene changes. This was one of the last things I actually did for the game and I didn’t want to spend too much time on it so that I could work on other things.
I’m glad you enjoyed the story and thank you again for playing!
Lovely game.
I really like the story and the art style. For the design itself only complain I have is inconsitency in pixel sizes. When choosing pixel graphic I always recommend trying to use the very same assets or scaling them so the single pixels would line up etc.
Effects are integrated very well and I laughed a bunch of times when reading the things on the transition screen :D (You are a courier, Harry) xD
The game play itself is simple, nothing 'special' regarding the mechanics. Everything feels polished and works, for me no bug occurred. Personally after a short amount of time clicking thorugh the decisions the game felt a bit repetitive and kinda boring. But this is just due to personal reasons, I am more focused on actually doing something within a game instead of choosing things and having story only. But the narrative and overall story is great!
Overall very good entry!
Thank you for the feedback. I tried to make sure the pixel size match with each other, but other than scaling them individually, I really had no idea how to do it since I was using different asset packs. I hope it didn’t bother you too much. I was aiming for a very simple gameplay and mechanics and I am glad there was no bugs.
Thank you again for playing.
Nice to see a narrative game. It was well done and the art and atmosphere was really good. Can't think of any suggestions for improvement :)
Thank you for playing!
It's a pity that I don't know English as well.
But the visual aspect and the music are excellent. The atmosphere is unique. Overall, I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for playing!
There are a lot of hilarious choices, the game makes me giggle. A nice experience.
Thank you for playing! 😁
This is a really interesting narrative game! The writing and story are awesome, and I love how much your choices matter even in a short play through. The pixel art is lovely, and the main music loop creates a great atmosphere.
I ended up making a big sacrifice at the end (no spoilers!). I’m definitely planning to go back and play again to find the other 3 endings. Great job!
Thank you very much, I appreciate it!
