Was hard to find items game, I had to make a couple more returns to find keys and figure where to use it to be able to progress. The shock attack was nice, I like the way that it just knockout an enemy for a short while instead of taking them out. Then I found an exit after some time.
Good looking environment, The placement of the assets are appropriate.
Cool concept, I found the shock attack very hard to use. The camera system was neat!
Really awesome job, y'all! I loved the survival horror vibes but I found myself really struggling to navigate the world y'all have built—the environment design is really gorgeous, but the rooms and corridors all felt too similar and the changing camera angles made it difficult for me to keep track of where I was at. Some kind of map mechanic would be a good add, but making the spaces more visually distinct from each other and creating more visually unique landmarks in each space would be even better here.
I also kept getting lost during testing, but we ran out of time to put a map in… =w=
seems pretty cool i don't normally play games like this. Interesting mechanic with the camera changes, kind of like not 3rd person almost like 4th person lol.
Seriously impressive execution and scope!! Art style looked great at first, hurt eyes after a while (played fullscreen, so very pixely). Key objects didn't really pop out to me with lots of visual detail in background. I only found one key. I definitely felt the survivor-horror feeling of claustrophobia and being underpowered and vulnerable!
The realtime shadows on zombies was especially cool with the dithering effects. Performance was kinda bad in browser though and audio was very garbled throughout.
My most specific design critique/complaint was being annoyed a few times from camera breaking the 180-rule...exiting from right -> entering from left in the next screen and then accidentally backtracking because I'm holding Right arrow... like at 4:35 in my gameplay vid-->
We tried to fix these issues, but missed some 180s and didn’t have time to put in a map or make the input more consistent. We relied on the godot exporter to make the web build and the defaults didn’t seem very adequate. No idea why the sounds/music play sometimes/for some people…
For the key objects, I have decided on a better indicator for the complete game. That or we use a 4 color palette instead of 2.
Wow… just wow. Love to see more 3d games in this jam. Love the old school Resident Evil vibe with the locked camera. Cool use of the theme.
We’re planning on making it bigger and better. =3
I liked the shader and camera work. F*U JONNY!
A unique 3D-styled game for the browser! Loved your usage of the dithering shader. I cornered myself with zombies when I tried looking for the way forward on my first attempt.
Small feedback: I feel like the map was a bit confusing to navigate, doors and exits were a bit hidden in the texturing, blending in with the walls, and I got lost pretty easily. Something that could perhaps help with this is maybe a small minimap that shows you the room layout. But it’s also understandable if you designed the rooms with the maze-like feel intentionally!
Good job on the submission!
The maze-like layout is intentional, but even I got lost in testing. We ran out of time to put a map in, tho… =w=
Wow... Phenomenal.
For a Zelda-Like game, this felt very comfortable to play about. The zombies weren't as annoying as I thought, though killing them proved its own difficulty. The atmosphere felt amazing; shaders were well done, though I have one complaint, and that's a little lack of control.
I had a few issues where I'd assume zombies wouldn't attack me within a close range unless that was intended. The controls could be a little bit more descriptive, especially for a feeble-brained individual like mine :D Though, other than those thoughts, this game is great. Probably one of the first 2D/3D games I've played, and I see great potential in it as well.
A solid 9/10. Keep up the work, you guys!
Believe me, we tried to fix all that, just ran short on time and went for the more major issues. =P
