Description
Lore :

Something stirs. The air is thick with the weight of centuries, stone corridors worn smooth by time, walls etched with markings no living hand has touched. There is a stillness here that feels almost sacred, almost suffocating. Every step forward feels like a trespass.

...The mountain opens up.

The Factory does not sleep. The deeper you venture, the more the ancient stone surrenders to something stranger , pipes laced with light, mechanisms turning in perfect silence, energy coursing through channels carved with inhuman precision. This is not the work of hammers and chisels. This is engineering beyond its time.

The air hums with it. A frequency that sits just beneath thought, just beneath instinct as if the Factory is not merely running, but thinking. Processing. The rock around you is no longer just rock; it is circuitry. Infrastructure. A machine so vast the mountain itself is just its shell.

This is the sound of that realization. The moment wonder tips into something colder. Something that has always been here, and has always known you were coming.

Composition process:

We wanted to create an immersive soundscape at first without incorporating musical elements, but decided to add tension and a build-up by mixing string runs and sound design with small tempo changes gradually increasing.

We used a couple of recurring sound design elements like a Siren and steam to help keep the atmosphere feeling factory-like throughout.

It felt natural to give a more cinematic feel with massive orchestral hits to close our first segment, which carries a more organic and "traditional" feel overall.

The second part is where the mechanical elements of the factory start to become more technologically advanced. We decided to keep and grow the sound design and mechanical effects to maintain the factory "feel" within the track, while gradually incorporating more and more synth sounds. We started with a plucked ostinato pattern that develops into more melodic elements, paired with a delicate piano to preserve the more "organic" side. We then switched to a 5/4 time signature with a more ominous chord progression, intensifying the storytelling of this mysterious technology, and finished it off with layered sound design and a choir building up to the final climax.

So cool!! Hits the theme perfectly, very dynamic, kept me engaged the whole time. I think the sound design elements really make it all feel like one place as you say. The whole thing is very cohesive and y'all have blended your work into a singular voice very nicely. Thanks for a great listen!!

LAST RATING BABY!!! And also most likely the best for last with you two teaming up again promising very much.

The Atmosphere you two have created is massive getting enhanced by the very clean and cinematic sound design. The mix sounds CRISP and looking at the DAWs screenshot of you both I would have gone lost with the shear number of tracks. Having bought it immediately after coming up in my BandCamp feed should say everything. So I leave it at brilliant work for you both. Keep up the good work!

I didn't thank you for buying it, that's very generous, you even gave too much money XD, I really appreciate it.

How on earth, have you made something this PROFOUND, this MASSIVE, this BEAUTIFUL, and the mix is still so clear!!!!!! the actual instrumentation is so well done too, not a single note that plays that doesn't sound blissful.

and that deep fatt BASS is the most immaculate shit i've ever heard in my life mate, this track goes so hard dude, really take you into another world where you might maybe not want to be to be honest-

overall fantastic job!

Cool stuff like always! the whole intro buildup with the hits was great, probably my favourite thing was the distorted synth plucks, really cool sound.

Enjoyed my listen, can't really say more 😄, good work from both of you!

Wow! Totally immersive soundtrack you have created here! I am getting huge Hans Zimmer vibes from it lol. Solid orchestration and atmosphere. Really liked the progress. It felt like you were entering something massive and mysterious. And that is not always a easy task to complete with music! The reverb really helped.

You make some great and unique music FoxHyode!  Always a pleasure to listen. Thanks for making another great soundtrack. Bravo!

Delightful intro and the changeup into synth-heavy sound design and arpeggios is something I hear a lot in your works - not a complaint, I just love the way you go about your synth choice, and it's at its best in this track. The change up at about 2:05 is especially nice, love that progression! I do love me some 5/4 XD

Spectacular work!

Really solid. I'm loving the immediate huge reverb to drive home the sense of scale.

Some of the percussive elements maybe sound a bit midi.

That opening really kicks ass. I still am encountering a little bit of the reverb at the beginning not being tamed. I learned how massive of a challenge it is to have a lot of bass/mid elements that are completely necessary to the color of the tone I wanted while also struggling to tame... so I can't be of that much help other than mentioning it. It's also not so bad that it's not completely passable in a professional track.

Some of the hits probably need some work to increase the perceived loudness.

Composition is really solid. Awesome job. I love what you and Ty make together as well, it always kicks ass and has a unique flavor - precisely the point of this jam. :)

i like this a lot. your mix of techno and orchestral stuff is really good and the time signature switch FUCKS.

its definitely cinematic- i could see this goin over a cutscene in a portal game or a half life game. and that ostinato oh my GOD.

some of the cinematic stuff- like the big orchestral hits and the choir- makes it sound a little less unique than it could? which -- some of that is the genre its like calling a rock song derivative for having a distortion guitar. but the choir especially didnt do it for me.

you got something really cool here though. its definitely giving 'factory'.
