Cool concept. I didn't quite get the shop, but it really looked like a fun game :)
I loved the design; the dice enemies were cute. A few things about the tutorial: It didn't make it clear you get no bonuses after beating an enemy; the first time I played I only stole a few times thinking it would be okay, but it turns out you need to be stealing constantly. The volume controls also probably shouldn't be under a button called tutorial, unless of course you're trying to punish the type of people who skip through without reading. It's a good game, good job!
Thanks for the feedback. I felt it was easiest and cleanest to just have one pause menu with volume controls and tutorials you could reference during the game, but it did feel misleading to label the start menu button as "Tutorial". I do agree that I should have added some more notes on the importance of stealing.
I had a problem with the layout using firefox... (otherwise fun, reminds me of dicey dungeon!)
I didn't really have the time to make the UI scale properly XD
I had fun with it! Maybe add an option to spend all dice on one action instead of dragging them all seperately onto them?
Simple and fun, I like!
It took my some time to pick it up, but was fun
fun!
It took me a moment to find the game loop, but I had a lot of fun when I did. I wanted to upgrade everything forever and was ready to play another set of levels/next world, so you captured the essence really well.
Dice Goblin is a strategic turn-based dice battler inspired by the thief encounters in traditional roguelikes like Slay the Spire, where you take on the role of the thief that needs to steal dice shards from the enemies to power up and defeat the boss of the dungeon.
I am a solo dev and I put my all into developing this game during the last week, as always there are a few rough edges, but I am very proud of the result and will appreciate any constructive feedback.
