Description
I ended up writing two ambient pieces, both in G Phrygian and at the same tempo. During the process I had Kale's SFX playing in the background as a reference, though I muted them for the final export. Both tracks are designed to be loopable โ€” Scene 2 ran a bit longer than I originally intended, but it found its own shape along the way.
Scene 1 follows the moment you tumble off a raft and find yourself inside a cave โ€” one that shouldn't exist, filled with alien technology humming quietly in the dark.
Scene 2 captures something more unsettling: a storm being born, not from nature, but from a machine. It feels almost unnatural โ€” and yet strangely familiar, like something you've witnessed in the wild before. But this is different. There's no chaos here, no randomness. It feels deliberate, almost surgical โ€” as if aimed at planetary reconstruction rather than

How did you Innovate? (Complete later if you need to submit on time)
For this jam, I decided to try something different and stepped out of my usual setup by composing in LMMS โ€” a first for me in a jam context, and a DAW I hadn't touched in almost a year. Reacquainting myself with its workflow quirks was part of the fun, and honestly, that slight unfamiliarity pushed me toward a different approach to composing than I'd normally take โ€” which felt very in the spirit of this jam. I tried to keep to my usual 8-track layout for ambience, but ended up needing one extra due to the different workflow and some half-remembered steps.

Very nice submission, 2nd track tickles my brain in all the right places. Composition wise it gets a bit stale at places imo, but is still super nice, verygj.

i would have to say I prefer the 2nd track of your two that you've submitted here - i find that there's more going on sonically despite the harsh accordion sound, of which I agree with Eetu is a bit much. The first track is a perfectly made atmospheric track and thus I don't have much at all to say about it - I just hope you keep making them!

I wish they were more dynamic and changed up the mood, maybe a key change or gentle introduction of another instrument? In any case, glad you made a submission!

The atmosphere of this track is spot on!

Great work here, and using LMMS too! My first DAW. Defiantly a fun thing to use. I liked the feel. Very off and mysterious which is part of its charm! Good work here.

Interesting choice with Phrygian, by default it will give a bit of a omninous vibe, I like the first track a lot more, just have to watch out with the mids/lows frequency spectrum its hanging there for too long. Same for 2nd track, there is a lots of low end staying there for too long, I think just some change of dynamics will help tremendously the overall arrangement of the track, but for pure ambient vibe it works very well, I like that it doesn't sound like anything else that is too generic, it  really is its own thing. Good job !

The atmosphere on the first track was great, really liked it.

On the second one, the accordion ish sound was a bit harsh to my ears and maybe could've been switched for another sound at points or maybe some EQ to cut out harshness out a bit, similarly the sine wavey sound that comes at 03:26 could use some EQ to cut a bit of the more resonant frequencies that overpower the mix a bit (can't really say what frequencies from just listening though, don't have that good ears ๐Ÿ˜‚ )

Good work!
