I really loved the artwork, the watercolor illustrations were truly touching.
I also appreciated the idea that it's important to accept the possibility of losing plants due to lack of water, for example.
I played the game for a while but got very frustrated:
- It's unclear what you're supposed to do at the start.
- There's a lack of visual feedback for where you can apply fertilizer or water... animating the watering can, the fertilizer application... why not have a little game to show you how much to apply but not too much, for example?
- I didn't know where the water and fertilizer come from after each loop; I suggest developing some narrative around these parameters.
- I suggest adding music and sound effects, which would have enhanced the game.
- I didn't understand the connection to the Regenerate topic, as this is a classic vegetable garden management game. We could further explore the topic of water or fertilizer regeneration, how to obtain them... or even soil regeneration with worms... in which case we'd need to move beyond the vegetable patch.
- I gave up after a while because the tasks were too repetitive, and I didn't know if there was a harvest option.
A very beautiful, cozy game that deserves a few improvements to become a truly great game!
