I really enjoyed this! I definitely wanted out of the loop, and it was fun doing my best to roll low, and building up the SIPs to fight against the OS. The OS rolls as a way of operationalising the effect of the 'system' keeping you in it was really clever - loved it! Couple of very minor bits of feedback if you want to come back to this: I think the new lines sometimes came too quickly (or I'm a slow reader - could be true!); I think there was one loop where I accidentally clicked the recharge button again, and the recharge roll happened again, which I assume is a bug, so if possible might be worth hiding/disabling the choice buttons until the next choice prompt. Anyway, again, I really like this, really creative, and a very cool implementation of the theme, and of your idea. Well done!

Ahhn thanks for the comments. I loved to hear your experience on the wee game.
And yes your feedback make a lot of sense, the buttons don't really deactivate straight away so that's a bug for sure, still something I need to learn and understand about that part of the code. And yeah the speed of text is something I will be more aware of and hopefully implement some customisation for speed.
Interesting game with a beautiful art style and story.
really wild mix of systems design and storytelling ✨ I love how spartan the narrative chunks are, theyre really short and staccato so a lot is implyed in between - i especially like the glitches. Really ambitious for a jam game. the different sounds for each line coming in fit real nicely with the music too, Hope you had fun jammin!
Interesting... I'm a bit confused by the whole experience, but maybe that's kind of the point? Is there any strategy to which rolls you choose for each prompt? I just rolled my highest stat every time and got mostly successes. Rolling fewer dice never seemed worth it, but maybe the DC is lower for certain stats? If so, I wish this were clearer...
Still, the presentation and the vibes here are really special, and this is overall very impressive for a solo dev!
yeah in a way I guess being confused it's part of the experience. its good to know that. also that you didn't felt things were so clear, especially abot the rolls. is defo a good shout for me to be aware and try to improve on. so thanks for saying all that!
you technically shouldn't be allowed to roll the same stat before rolling the others first. defo a bug I will look into.
the choice of stat is mostly about the flavor that you want to put on the story as you get prompted. as i built this with a ttrpg "theatre of the mind" type of idea, you are creating your own story. the terminal gameplay might not make it so clear. but in a way it also relates to the setting.
I think you feeling not rolling fewer dice it's worth it, ends up being your strategy and the story you are constructing, but the idea to break out of the loop is to roll low and get glitches instead of successes. But you don't have to try to break the loop, is all up to you. in the terminal the DC is indeed static because of time and easier to just make it that.
also I guess one thing that might got hidden in the page description, and could help make things clearer, is that I did the game in a webzine type format first https://mama-cailleach.github.io/31st-of-feb-zine, and the terminal is a tool for one type of gameplay. but I tried to expose everything a bit better on the zine (not that it will necessarily make things clearer lol). so a quick one page cheat sheet instructions thing could have been more useful in the itch page.
Right up my ally! I love text based games. Very interesting story to follow.
Love the aesthetic! I also really enjoyed the concept, very interesting. Nice game! :)
Nice! At first I was a bit confused, but then I just went with the flow. I like the terminal concept but maybe I would have made it feel even more like a terminal, but the UI is actually pretty cool as is.
Other than that, it’s really nice. Maybe the text scrolls a little too fast? But aside from that, great job! it’s really nice.

Really clean presentation. Loved the terminal SFX, especially how the prompt pitch shifts in scale with the music. The writing and little prompt bits were cool, and the interview sections honestly triggered some interview PTSD lol. Pretty unique game.
I found the UI a bit confusing with so much going on and wasn’t sure what my choices meant.
